Romney's win was taken away in Iowa when all the votes were counted and put Santorum over the top. Now in Maine there are some votes that weren't counted. Mitt Romney barely edged out over Ron Paul and votes and Washington County need to be counted. Ron Paul did very well in Washington County this election cycle. If Romney ends up losing to Ron Paul in Maine and then lose his home state of Michigan, he might as well drop out of the race. he is not electable and will never beat Obama LOL

Maine was pretty suspicious. Here's Romney, coming off the triple loss to Santorum, then all these shenanigans with the Maine count. If I were a cynical person, I might think the GOP establishment had it's finger on the scale for Mitt, giving him an artificial boost when it was badly needed. Glad they're not getting away with it.

Romney and his team do not have the character to be president. Glad the GOP campaign is so long and grueling- it has exposed Romney's defects. Better the country find out now, instead of later.

how could he be stripped from a win when he never won in the first place.

just because they say he won does not mean he won. mass media spins it however they want it to suit their agenda.

obvious maine voter fraud. and many other states as well. BUT MAINE WAS TOO OBVIOUS.

You are a little behind. On the recount, Romney had even more votes than the did to begin with.

Yeh, they updated, not everything is counted yet. Although, just that article shows all kind of issues. I hope these are documented and pursued. Webster has some nerve. Cries the RP "conspiracy card" after his track record.

This bit is especially convenient. This is why you need a "paper trail".

"Late Friday, Maine GOP Chairman Charlie Webster acknowledged that the count still many not be perfect. The results do not include caucuses held after 5 p.m. on Feb. 11, the deadline set by the state party for reporting results, or there could be towns that met and voted on time, but didn't call in their results.
The state party was unable to contact every single town for the recount because it does not have contact information for the town GOP chairman for every town, Webster said. Instead, the revised tally is based on new numbers from towns and counties that contacted the state party to complain about an error or omission, or towns the state party reached through phone calls or email."

maine is a glorified straw poll. delegates arnt appointed for awhile still and paul will get the majority, as he will from all the caucus states.

Doesn't include Washington county which does theirs today.Doesn't include votes that were done after 5 on the 11th...give me a break already...the Maine GOP didn't realize how much of a bees nest is stepped into when it screwed Paul.

LOL. So TRUE....and too funny after all the HYPE by the media that nobody could compete with Romney and that he'd be the "likely nominee". HA! What a JOKE that is turning out to be.

It just goes to show you. Never believe anything your read or hear without checking it out for yourself -- ESPECIALLY if it comes from mainstream media sources.

Obama is probably hoping that Rick "Sanitarium" wins, because he's the absolute dumbest of the bunch. He has weird eyes, Rick does. I'm not an Obama fan. Paul is the only one I could vote for. Romney is waaaay too plastic.
