Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice endorsed Mitt Romney as the Republican presidential nominee at a fundraiser in California last night, saying he understands the nation’s special place in the world.
What an impressive woman she is. Her record of service to the country and her foreign affairs knowledge makes her a perfect VP candidate....but I don't think she is interested.
THIS woman should be the ultimate role model for the black community.....but as is usually the case, conservative, accomplished black women are shunned and mocked.

I agree, but let's be honest: Most of them probably cannot relate to her.

So she jumps on the bandwagon with just another Fright Wing ChickenHawk. Certainly nothing new for her here.
She's a bright woman with a wealth of knowledge yet appeared to do little but parrot the Buish/Cheney NeoCon NWO during her tenure as Secretary of State, IMO both her talents and those of Colin Powell were completely wasted by their administration.
No surprise here, eh. Rice is a traditional conservative who favors small government and fiscal discipline. She is a far cry from the former fringe element that now defines and dominates the modern day Republican party. Both she and Romney would be a much better fit as Blue Dog Dems than they are with the party of Santorum and DeMint.
She didn't endorse anyone in 2008. Powell endorsed Obama in 2008, but isn't this time. It's all quite interesting.
Gen. Powell has said he's still weighing his options. Which is the position he took prior to endorsing Barack Obama in 2008. Given the strong defense of the actions of the President thus far, I have no doubt he'll endorse the President again this year. At a more opportune time. And I don't wonder why she wouldn't have endorsed McCain. That one would be easy to figure-out.

Ahhh, that's ok! We like our role models to have our best interest at heart. Thanks anyway for enlightening an entire race of people on who our role models should be.
Powell has made some noises about the dangers of running up debt. Plus Romney's past record is pretty sympatico w/ Powell--moderate to lib east coast republican, even though Romney is now running to the right. Plus I think both Powell & Romney both tend to value excellence/competence over ideology. It won't be a huge surprise if Powell endorses Romney this time around.
I noticed the first two posters were pleased but spent as much time considering her race as her accomplishments.
