Damn it i am going to say it, don't like what i say tough! Romney could not get away with this in anyway, media, and talk host radio, would be all over the story. Or past Presidents for that matter.

Beyond all that, the most important issue is jobs people, and this economy, thank Obama for this, no one else Obama, he has not helped do one thing to turn this around,.

Fortunately for you, the people who run first world countries already know that it takes money keep a country running and take it from you. But if you insist that you hate taxes then there are a few options you may want to consider... I hear Somalia has a low tax rate.

The government doesn't have to do all of the above things you mention. In fact, I DON'T want the government doing most of those things. When an oppressive government takes it upon itself to establish a monopoly over these things, then we don't have a choice but to utilize some of those things, but the government should really pull its nose out of a lot of the things it's not meant to do, and let people keep what they earn. How radical would be that? If the government wasn't robbing the people blind and not trying to do everything under the sun, then more efficient privatized solutions would emerge for everything you listed. The government not doing a certain thing doesn't mean that you won't ever get that service. It will be provided by the private sector, which fosters competition between firms trying to gain your business, thus driving the costs down. Imagine if we were forced to use government-made computers, cell phones etc.?
The same way you want me to send to Somalia, there are a lot of countries where the government bathes you, feeds you and changes your diapers, so you are pretty much all set. Do YOU want to go there? So what if you pay 90% of your income as taxes? The government knows better than you how to spend YOUR money, right? You would be perfectly at home there. Me, I want to live in a FREE country. We did not even have an income tax till 1913. Did people survive? Hell yeah, they did.
