To Boos and Polite Applause, Romney Speaks to the N.A.A.C.P.
Quote:
HOUSTON — Less than four years after President Obama swept into the White House with the overwhelming support of black voters, Mitt Romney appeared on Wednesday before the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People with a bold claim: “If you want a president who will make things better in the African-American community, you are looking at him,” Mr. Romney said.
His assertion was met with cackles and boos — as well as some tepid applause — and was emblematic of his entire speech, in which he tried to appeal to African-Americans, while still offering some tough medicine and policy prescriptions unpopular with them.
Obama's a coward. He has time for celebrities but he wont make time for them. He thinks he has their votes in the bag already, so he doesnt care. He'll just send Joe Foot-in-mouth Biden.
If I were Romney, I would continue to try and speak to whoever he can, including black organizations. Do as he did yesterday and speak to them like equals. Keep doing that, and you never know. If he manages to get 8% or so of the black vote, Obama is finished.
There was no "standing ovation," and you spelled "Romney" wrong.
Typo noted
But you're incorrect, he did receive a standing ovation:

They are standing because after that speech, they realized Obama will have another 4 years
Or that he could be on his way out?
