Question hmm...

Rep. Todd Akin told Mitt Romney to mind his own business Tuesday, accusing the presumptive GOP nominee of “making a bigger deal” than necessary out of Akin’s comments about “legitimate rape.”

“Don’t you think he may have built this thing up and made a bigger deal about it than he needed to?” Akin asked host Sean Hannity on the latter’s radio show. “Why couldn’t he run his race and I’ll run mine?”

I wonder how Romney will respond?

The Democrats should send Akin a thank you note for delivering them another seat.

Wasn't much Romney could do, really, except throw his own weight into the Party pressure to get Akin to drop out.

But you're right, Akin wasn't impressed.

Romney's being a hypocrite anyway. Regardless of what HE believes (if anything) he is the titular leader of a party that thinks abortion should be banned in ALL cases, including rape ("honest" or otherwise).

The GOP has been using social conservatives for cannon fodder for 10 elections now, and they've had it. The TP cart has swung out in front of the horses, and the GOP is in a panic.

Romney better quit messing with this guy. If Akin wants to, he can call Romney and Ryan out for their similar views on abortion and put them in a position of having to upset the social conservative base or lose the moderate and independent votes. I can see a scenario where Akin is on TV and radio every day for a couple of weeks hammering Romney/Ryan on abortion, especially Romney's flip flopping views.

I still think that Akin will win. Missouri has a very right wing tilt, especially in the growing Southwestern part of the state. The man won fair and square.
