Too late. After a successful campaign to paint Romney as an insensitive plutocrat underscored by his recent remarks that pretty much prove it, it is Romney that the people don't trust. Trying to smear Obama is going to backfire.

He's going to need every single penny of that massive war chest just to keep from sinking into oblivion. It's not surprising, though, that this is Romney's game plan. With the way he's run this campaign, it's obvious his plan was to simply buy the election all along. Why not? It's what he does.

I can't see how saturating the airwaves with a candidate that nobody likes much to begin with is going to do much good at this late stage of the game, though. I, for one, mute every single political ad that comes on, even the Democratic ones. People have already seen enough of Romney to have their minds changed now. Too little, too late for Mitt.

Obama still doesn't have majority support according to the vast majority of polls and when the polls are averaged.... There are still undecided voters up for grabs who will decide the election.

This election isn't over just yet, but the leaked video will cause a drop for him that will take every penny of his war chest to correct, and he was trailing already. I'm not sure that after this any amount of advertising can lead him to a win.

The other risk is too much advertising diminishes, instead of enhances, the candidate's image. When a candidate floods and market with so much advertising people begin to realize that all of that advertising was paid for by billionaires.

A flood of advertising by the Romney camp will just go to further reinforce his image as a rich plutocrat -- basically Thurston Howell the third running for president.

Then the easy course is just to say "just don't believe anything they say on TV."

What we about Willard Romney that is not a suprise is the fact that he personally made hundreds of millions of dollars by outsourcing jobs, bankrupting companys and breaking contracts with employees-costing workers their promised pensions, benifits and in many cases their jobs.

Willard Romney is "The worst possible candidate".

BTW - I'm sure all the people who work at Steel Dynamics, the Sports Authority, Staples, Domino's, etc., etc. are very unhappy to have their jobs.

the article also forgets obamas massive ground game advantage over romney.

somebody talking to me is more likely to sway my opinion then seeing a tv ad.
