Is that sustainable? Will the 49% who actually pay any federal income tax be able to afford to keep paying more and more to financially support an exponentially growing welfare-dependent class? And how "moral" or "kind" is a country that incentivizes the highest rate of birth among its poor? What kind of future are all those children born into poverty going to have? Right off the bat there are overwhelming odds AGAINST them. Why would any country do that to its own children? Why is incentivizing an increasingly larger poverty class Democrat/liberal policy?
So you favor free abortions and birth control instead? People are going to reproduce if you don't take measures to prevent it.

If no father is named on the BC and no man has acknowledged paternity. How does the public assistance office establish paternity? They don't. They have no one to go after.

Just because your name is listed on a BC does NOT mean your the father even if your married.
While true, many states still hold the father named on the BC legally responsible.

Free? No. Access to such? Yes. Pay for the services. Even if it is on a sliding fee scale. But PAY something.

Personal responsibility. Know it. Live it.

And for the record, I don't approve of casting people out of the social safety net. Unless you'd like a huge increase in homeless tubercular beggars. None of these assistance programs provide anything more than enough to make poverty survivable (food. shelter. heating fuel. basic health care). Not providing health care to the poor is actually a public health risk. Also a lot of these programs provide ways to ease people onto work (which with enough experience and a good economy can permanently take them off welfare altogether). Yes, there are a small percentage of people who will always fraud and game the system, but any alternative way of providing the same services will be similarly gamed.

Let's use the dear leaders numbers, since he is the one who started this: 47%, 1/3 of whom are SS recipients (some could be deadbeats who are disabled and getting SS, of course) from.

But Ok, let's gas the working Americans who don't pay any taxes too. That's about 2/3's of the 47% so we get more bang for the buck there. Of course, you will have to cook your own food, clean your own hotel room, mow your own lawn, weed, pick and pack your own food, and do the thousands upon thousands of menial, low-paying tasks that these people do. Shouldn't be a problem because they are just dead weight as you say, so we don't need them.

His father failed at becoming president now he wants to give it a shot. He's bored with his life and he's already accomplished being a CEO and governor. My take on that comment was that Romney was admitting that he and his fellow "job creator" cronies are not hiring or doing anything to help improve the economy to increase the odds of Romney getting elected. IMO, he was saying that as soon as he is elected the business leaders and Congress will end their dangerous obstructionism and things will almost immediately get better.

All this scrambling to try and rationalize the very stupid comments of the Mittster, it's funny to watch. Even Mitt is doubling and tripling down on them, while the gop politicos are running away, in a fast panic.

Then say goodbye to Democracy in this country...

"Democracy is a form of government that cannot long survive, for as soon as the people learn that they have a voice in the fiscal policies of the government, they will move to vote for themselves all the money in the treasury, and bankrupt the nation." — Karl Marx in The Communist Manifesto

51% pay NO federal income tax but demand expensive government services and benefits...

Demand? Or told they're eligible and apply?

Good grief, I know middle class people who pay no income tax and get no benefits either

Expensive? 13% of a tax dollar spread over millions of people?

I think Marx's predictions of what people do haven't really panned out as well as he'd thought...see USSR, former.

Imagine those low life in Afghanistan..getting their legs blown off and expecting their government to pay for nice new plastic legs...outrageous! I did near a tale about wounded American soldiers who were flown from Afghanistan to Germany for medical treatment- being force to pay for their own flight...what's that about?
