If Biden looked tanned and healthy, Ryan looked animic. I'll take the healthy guy, any day of the week.

He did amp up the base, but that doesn't matter. The base is going to vote for him anyway. To everyone else, he came across as a selfish ass.

So what is a Stage 4 cheater?

It is amazing reading all the spin going on by those who were going to declare a winner even before it started. It's like you are hoping to convince those, who either saw it or didn't, that your guy was soooo awesome and that the other is Darth Vader. My take: Biden was obnoxious and exemplified the rudeness of our present political environment. Ryan was calm, cool, and collect (I would have punched Biden) and carried himself well . . . however - still no details (and they aren't gonna provide any until (if) they are elected). Both did their talking points and both did what they had to do. Biden was aggressive and attacked (which he needed to do, but not in such an obnoxious manner) and Ryan had to portray himself as "presidential". I also didn't like that Biden would smile/laugh and call Ryan a good friend and then proceed to call him a liar. They all do that, but Biden came off as the typical politician last night in doing so. Overall, I think Ryan got the better of Biden last night, in regards to public opinion, at least. Still, Biden didn't hurt the ticket.

Here is what most people who arent far left take from the debate:

Biden: out of control, jerk

Ryan: patient, calm

Biden has years of debate experience. Decades actually. Ryan is young and did okay with his inexperience in a national debate setting.

Most people seen this as a tie, but Biden's smirks, jerkiness is being talked about most.

Biden's goal last night was to act like a jerk and try and rattle Ryan. Its hard to debate someone like that, and that was the plan.

For Ryan to walk out even, debating someone who acts like that, speaks well of Ryan. Most VP debates, the incumbent usually as seen as the clear winner. Not in this case though.

I felt like Biden's grins and laughs were code for "are you ****ting me?." A lot of people wondered by Obama didn't call out Romney on all his BS at their debate, he let himself get steamrolled but misinformation and outright lies. Consequently, the narrative after was that the President is "weak" and unprepared.

Did Biden come across too strong? Maybe, but after President Obama's lackluster 1st debate performance it was necessary. Clearly they weren't going to let that happen with Biden. He was prepared for it, and called Ryan on all of it. So it was a risk of looking like a "bully" vs. looking like a wimp. I think ultimately, they chose correctly, and all the people who were so sure that Ryan would steamroll Biden in this debate are noticeably quiet today, preferring to make fun of Biden's veneers instead. Very telling.

It is no shock that Reps thought Ryan won and Biden was a bully, and the Dems think Biden steamrolled a weak Ryan. Party lines. Shocker. What matters is how these "undecided" voters thoughts...

CBS poll of undecided voters:
Biden: 50%
Ryan: 31%

Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels was the master of the “big lie” tactic in which a lie, no matter how outrageous, is repeated often enough that it will eventually be accepted as truth. Goebbels explained:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

CBS poll said Biden won, CNN poll said Ryan won. If you're on the right you'll naturally think Ryan won and if on the left you'll think it was Biden.

One thing is indisputable though. Biden came off as a smug and condescending jerk whose strategy seemed to be preventing Paul Ryan from finishing a sentence. He interrupted Ryan 82 times!

At best, to the average American Ryan came off as boring and Biden came off as a meanspirited lunatic. It was like Ryan was seated across the table from the Joker.

Have they never heard of the saying: Loose lips, sink ships. Obama's ship is slowly going down. Every time someone from the administration opens their mouth they throw more dirt on Obama. Obama's future is looking pretty grim. What a bunch of idiots. I guess Biden can retire to Paddy's Pub, sing some Irish tunes, and tell everyone it was nothing but malarky.

Did Axelrod ring in yet?
