OK now i was right - check this link - it says about the 3rd paragraph that Roosevelt DID serve more than two terms.

How Many US Presidents Served More than One Term as President?
I don't need to look it up. Roosevelt was president when WWII began. That's why he was there more than 2 terms.

If, by a miracle or the heavens open up and is filled with angels, I will not vote for Obama a 3rd time. Twice is all he gets from me, period. I do not believe in 3rd terms for any President, no matter how good or bad they might be in their second term.

FDR governed in unique times that are now far in the past, as is the 20th century now. I'm more in favor of a single 6 or 7 year term by far than either re-election or a 3rd term. I prefer the single 7 year term, because it would be an election for the President alone. This would help keep the balance of power better and more even in this fast moving world.

What is great about the 22 Amendment is that it came to bite the GOP in its ass. Dwight David (Ike) Eisenhower could have probably won a 3rd term in 1960 and then they was Ronald Wilson Reagan who was term limited in 1988. Thank God for unintended consequenses!

Before you try and take pot shots at liberals, you might want to read the posting history of the person you are talking to. The OP is one your side of the aisle..... You should be blasting your fellow conservative, but instead you try to bash liberals.....

That happens a lot around here. If you don't fall in complete lockstep with the right wingers on here, you're a damn liberal, even if you agree with Fox News 99% of the time

How nuts do you have to be, to keep dreaming up arcane re-election scenarios and weird conspiracy theories for the other side.... just to explain the simple fact that most folks ain't interested in whatever you're selling!

No, what's great about the 22nd Amendment is that it is a Constitutional law which was passed by 2/3 of our Congress in order to be ratified. It doesn't matter whether a two-term President is R or D, two terms has been deemed sufficient for any single man or woman and established as a Constitutional limit to thwart a dictatorship.

He will not have a third term. There is a wacky conspiracy he is planning to take over as a permanent dictator. This is due to the fact he is a martian, invented velcro and time travel and will have undead Elvis as his assistant dictator.

The conspiracy theories about him are entertaining to read.
