The demographics of the US have changed, such that we have an ever enlarging "dependent" population which relies upon benefits from the US. The party which always provides those benefits, regardless of consequence, is the Democratic Party.
We have a president, and Democratic Party, which refuses to enforce US immigration laws and seeks to gain citizenship for those illegals. That demographic, due to economics and out of gratitude for citizenship, and thus "treats", are automatic democratic voters.
The policies of Obama and the Democrats, by supporting NAFTA, China most favored nation trade status, increased taxes, Obamacare, and increased regulations, has gutted the middle class. By culling a dependent, lower socio-economic class, the Democrats have gained a permanent voter base, who is dependent upon them for their survival. How do you think they will vote?
The socialist democracy has betrayed the promise of the Constitution in exchange for short term economic support and comfort. This will result in the long term demise of the balance of the US population, destroy the middle class, and will result in a "feudal" society (which, incidentally, Marx found appealing).

Considering that the ruling class (note, not the ruling class that Limbaugh talks about) wanted Romney badly, and didn't get him, I'd say that the ruling class doesn't always get exactly what they want. Their only weapon is the media, not the ballot box
If there's truly any such thing as a money-driven, militaristic, power-hungry "ruling class,"(you know, the one that the left was screaming about from 2004-2009) then said ruling class got precisely what they wanted with Barack Obama.
Such an entity would never not get what it wants.
