The issue here is that Cruz is ACTUALLY from a different country.

do your research: he is eligible to run for President. Are you one of those birthers? I thought they were all Republicans.

Non sequitur.

What research? The poster said Cruz is from a different country. Which is true.

some of the earliest birthers ( but not the first ) were democrats, the PUMAs ( party unity my ass ), renegade hillary clinton supporters. among them was phil berg who filed the first of the over 220 failed birther lawsuits.

recent polls put the percentage of democrats that believe in some variation of birtherism at around 13% or under and republicans at 35% and above.

Like or not there is enough circumstantial evidence that paints Obama from not being US Born. The other side of this is Left wing socialist we use any means to paint any threat a band even if they defend the President fully on the same principle.

This really non issue. If there is any evidence it will come out with President Obama. It always does. Calling people "Birthers " in not a good compelling route to earn public opinion.

If Lefties go after Ted Cruz ,because he is the threat to the left and most of the left wing hates everything that is America. This is a dangerous slope for the left.

PS It good to hear from You, its always a good debate!

the congressional research service has done some great research into the topic. here's their report:

( cruz would qualify in the CRS's opinion )

yep. for the dems to go "full" birther they'll have to expand the belief that cruz was born in cuba, the love child of fidel castro and anita bryant ( there are many current birthers that believe obama is the love child of malcolm x...... and was born in kenya ).

and all the actual evidence supports that he was born in honolulu HI, USA.

that sentence made absolutely zero sense.

true, but it's an interesting study of cognitive dissonance.

it did, june 2008, with the release of his certificate of live birth ( COLB ) which the HI department of health confirmed as legit in october of 2008.

"birther" is simply defined as someone that believes obama is ineligible to hold the office of POTUS due to some aspect of his birth, real or imaginary. the name was coined by the birthers themselves, a play off of the "truthers", and is still embraced by many ( see: birther report, birther summit ). the reason that so many use "birther" as a term of ridicule is because of the ridiculous actions of birthers.

i honestly doubt that cruz will make it past the primaries so if there is any legal challenge to cruz's eligibility it will come from the right ( my guess would be from one of the existing birthers, most likely larry klayman ).

According to the left-leaning Politifact:
Is Ted Cruz, born in Canada, eligible to run for president? | PolitiFact

Will that stop the left from going full-birther in 2016? I doubt it. If Cruz does run, which I hope he does, it's going to make the birtherism of WND, Trump, etc look like a play toy. We're going to get birtherism from NBC, ABC, CBS, and the NYT. We're going to get birtherism espoused by the Katie Courics, the Charlie Gibsons, and the elite of the elites.
The dems went birther on obama when HRC was the annointed candidate.

Funny how the dem birther movement will get press and be validated while the dem birther handoff to the reps is considered 'fringe'.
