All of these people like Sanders, and Warren...and Paul and Cruz...are a couple of standard deviations off the "traditional" mark to get elected President.

I would love to see a grass roots independent like Sanders take office....can it be any worse than what we have had for the last couple of generations?

But in spite of our distaste for the current system, unless they get up there, spend a fortune, walk the unethical/immoral/illegal line, we think there must be something "wrong".

It's an odd conundrum.

I do.

VT elected him, ergo he reflects VT ideas, values, and priorities...MORE government.

Going to answer my question? Where did Sanders SELF IDENTIFY as a Communist? Because I can point out where he self identifies as a Democratic Socialist.

The two are only distinguishable by degree of government control.

Degree is determined by ambient temperature.

Degree is controlled by temperature.

Ask any chef.

911 set the nation on fire, while the arsonists slipped away.

Actually, European governments are more neoliberal than ours. They are just a bit more generous with some social benefits and have different priorities than us. Other countries don't have a 47%. They use regressive taxation. Europe also has an unhealthy obsession with austerity.
