After the beginning of the war, I was at a military briefing as a contractor. The commander described in detail how we were in engaged in a Holy War. This has been going on since the 1970s. Where there is no willingness to step aside and determine the bad guys by their motives rather than their affiliation, you end up with bad guys by association.

I never stated I thought we were 100% responsible. I simply stated that to think that our government is completely innocent is misguided. In world diplomacy you have to make shady allies which I stated earlier. Those relationships have a way of turning ugly (which has happened).

I hope the commander meant 1970 b.c. and not 1970 a.d.
