The majority of US citizens have no patience for extremists who want to slash and burn everything, allow open discrimination against minorities, eliminate healthcare, eliminate all safety nets, force God talk on everyone, use John Wayne as the archetype for all foreign policy...you know, the stuff that gives conservatives stiffies.

Palin has had 6 years to prove herself and still just comes up with silly word salads. Even the GOP doesn't take her seriously as a candidate.

Give TC a chance to express himself over time to mitigate the blitzkreig media propaganda attack on his slightest twitch or misplaced adverb.

The media is doing its best to take TC's words out of context and create a negative perception.

TC is a smart well spoken man who the obtuse repubs and socialist dems hate. To pizz of that many from both sides seems like unprecedented progress to tame the runaway federal bureacracy in terms of elitist attitude, inefficiency without remorse and endless lifetime careers for personal benefit.

I think it has to do with this poster's belief that God is a psychopath and that all moderate Christians should think as he does.

I don't no, I would have liked to hear more from Huntsman in the last go 'round but it seems like the more moderate Republican candidates get little chance to be heard.

Because of the Tea Party and their demands of 100% purity no prospective GOP candidate can win the primary without pandering to them.

This is why Romney lost, he had to go so far to the right in the primaries that he soured his image by the time he went to bat against King Obozo. If Mitt was allowed to be Mitt he would have cleaned the floor with Barry.

Many leading Democratic figures have openly stated that Jeb Bush is the ONLY GOP candidate who keeps them awake at night. What does that tell you? It tells me we need to run Jeb.

Cruz, Huckabee and Santorum all have the same problem: they think they are running for Pope. Their views on abortion, to be specific, are too extreme for the American public.

Having said that, they are good foils for moderate Republican candidates. They can put distance between themselves and the fringe to build up their creds with non-left and non-rightwing voters, which is what the great majority of voters are.

Another thing, Cruz and Santorum were only senators. They have no executive experience. The buck has never stopped at their desk. That's another built in foil for a mainstream Republican, ex-governor candidate because he will probably use that as a reference to President Obama in a race against a Democrat candidate whose only experience was as a Senatoress.
