I'm watching the Biden maneuvers w/ interest right now. I think that if Biden gets in, it means that Hillary is probably on her way to an indictment and will be out. The timing says that this has everything to do with Hillary's email scandal. If Biden had intended to run all along, he would have jumped in around April-July, when everyone else did.

I don't think that the establishment Dems (including Obama) would want both Biden and Clinton in the primaries, because they could split the establishment vote, and throw the nomination to Sanders. I think that many of them probably see Sanders as a loose cannon. Hence Biden in probably means Hillary out.

granted that this is all speculation/conspiracy theorizing with little to no evidence to back it. Still interesting though, I think.

I think Biden is a quality choice. Certainly has less baggage and is likable. I think he will do well. Oh, and this is an adult conversation about Biden. For those of you have 'Liked" Clearasil (did I spell that right?) on you "Face" page, Donald Trump is not going to be the Republican Nominee. Not going to happen. He will however, deliver the election to the Democrats. He will switch to become an independent candidate. Basically, Trump is for sale. In a 3-Way contest, Democrats will win, easily. But either way, Trump will never be president. He is too smart for that.

It's hard to say how strong of a candidate Biden would be. He still has his reputation of being a goof-ball, even though he seems to be well-respect in DC and on the Hill. I'm not too sure about how well Elizabeth Warren would go over as VP either. A one-term senator and progressive ideologue from Harvard, who will doubtless be running on identity politics.....

Also Warren would be 67 on inauguration day, and Biden would be 74.

Biden is a nice guy, social lib. Probably would make a decent president if we had a socialist government but we don't. We are capitalist based. I think that's what Trump has. Who else would be better? Unless we are going to switch to a parliament then we need a business man in the White House so we can survive the economic downturns that seem to becoming consistent.
America isn't prejudice, they are tired and hungry. We want our jobs back with wages that feed our families. I doubt Biden's nice approach will spell leader this time around. People are sick of the current climate which seems to favor trade and slave labor more than it does the American middle and lower classes. Let us not forget that's well over half the country. It doesn't include Dems that can afford a social mindset.
It would be nice if we could afford all these social programs, incoming trade and real estate tycoons and open borders but we can't. So, whomever runs in that Dem seat better have a set of business balls and an interest in playing the game in our favor or they'll lose. Americans want their lives back.

Biden meets with the person ultimately in charge of the Justice Department, and things start happening that makes it look like Biden may run for President. Does anybody, besides me, think that Obama tipped Biden off that an indictment may be imminent for Hillary and that he needed someone to run against the self avowed Socialist?

The timing speaks volumes. It's late August, 4 months to primaries, and suddenly 72-yr-old Joe discovers a great urge to run in 2016? No it is exactly as you describe. At minimum there is great worry about the possibility of indictment, and a frantic need to come up with plan B now. The meeting w/ Elizabeth Warren fits with the concern about Bernard Sanders.

Trump is for sale, however Trump is selling himself and doesn't need to be on consignment.

Biden can make Trump look like a chump! Trump is just a rich bully, that is used to getting his own way. Trump has no class. I thought he was a good man, until he called down McCain; now he just mouths off to everyone, just like a big bad bully.

A world class leader, needs to be calm, diplomatic and have listening skills to listen to the other side. Biden, I think could be that leader; plus, he cares about all of us, not just the "chosen few."
