One standard for Republicans, another for leftards.
Harry Truman once said, "Nobody, not even the president of the United States, can approach too close to a skunk, in skunk territory, and expect to get anything out of it except a bad smell.”
Christie would have been wise to think that over. And "leftard"?, you're watching too much FOX news, that's bad for your vocabulary. I am, by the way libertarian, Christie is far from it, along with all the rest in both parties.
I don't like Christie but he never had a chance at teachers votes to begin with.
Probably not, but what I hate to see, are these candidates who claim they are not Washington insiders, but then they act no different than the generic flavor of any politician. As a candidate, you don't need to convince the people already in your corner, you need to convince the people in the middle or against you, that you're the one to make a difference. All I think he did here was to verify that what you see is what you get. Next!

So, now Chris Christie wants to punch teachers in the face because their union doesn't support him. This guy just keeps shooting himself in the foot, because he can't see over his belt. Why would you draw a line in the sand because the union has picked one of your opponents? Now, he will get no teacher votes, regardless of their political persuasion, and his stance on MJ takes out those voters too. His attitude is "this is who I am, and if you don't like it, FU", that may be OK in metro NY/NJ where a FU is as much a greeting as 'top 'o the mornin' in Dublin. There is supposed to be an art to diplomacy, as a president you should consider everyone whether they agree with you or not, it's a job that requires a lot of PR and civility. Don't think he's up to it, and if he keeps up his offensive, he won't get many votes either.
What I never understand is the affection many Democrats have for the guy. It's like the liberals outside of NJ thinks he would make a good President or something.
If anyone thinks this is anything but a desperate publicity stunt by Christie I've got a bridge to sell you. And I promise Christie won't close down my bridge.
He should end this silly charade and resign.
Can anyone name one accomplishment that Christie has done for New Jersey?
