Hillary won but the big news is, the Dems have 2 actually good options to choose from, the Repubs started with 17 actually bad candidates and are left with fewer bad candidates.
Things are looking much, much better for Republicans this morning. Trump is over and Cruz will be taken out soon too. Clinton did poorly against a guy she should have blown away. Rubio has to be the favorite for the nomination on the R side. Clinton's very poor showing against an unknown socialist can't inspire confidence that the Dems will hold the White House this fall against Rubio.

how is Trump over and Rubio the favorite????.....please explain the huge delegate "advantage" Rubio got out of Iowa?
The one candidate I am really surprised about is Jeb Bush. He is coming across in this race as a real dud, he doesn't seem to even have any energy or fire about him, but he actually was not a terrible Governor here in Florida at one time. He was generally regarded as the smartest Bush, but something has happened and he just looks very unimpressive.
He has been a total non issue during this whole race.

I am also surprised at Jeb. Looks like the eventual GOP winner will be Rubio who, as we know in Florida, is really awful and phony. Kasich, is the only one with any value, but has no chance in what has become of the GOP.
I don't blame candidates for skipping Iowa....is not even worth it.....Cruz spent a lot of time in Iowa for a 1 delegate advantage over Trump and Rubio? LMAO!
Jeb is thinking, I'm still in the game!!! I'm only 9 delegates behind from the #1 spot....
You are right as far as ae number of delegates, but a pattern is set and momentum going into March. This year no candidate should take Iowa or any other state lightly. I am guessing all eyes are going to be on Rubio, Cruz and Sanders in the next month. Now, let's see if any candidates hang it up?
For anyone to think Hillary did alright last night, think again. Is it over for her? Of course not, but she isn't a shoe in anymore. BTW, this isn't so much about delegates as it is about people paying attention to who is gaining and who is slipping. You mention how much money and time Cruz spent, so did Rubio and what about Trump?

what you talking about willies?.....Jeb is only 9 delegates away from 1st place.....he has plan....

not really, after N.H. next week and then South Carolina, everybody would have forgotten Iowa and Cruz win in IOWA doesn't mean anything if he doesn't win in the next primaries.

Trump has a big "L" on his forehead now. He no longer can project a winner's image. Amnesty Rube has emerged as the GOPe's great hope and he will get millions and millions of dollars and PAC money now. The establishment is going to win. The writing is on the wall.
"Even tonight, my opponents resorted to political tricks by tweeting, texting and telling precinct captains to announce that I had suspended my campaign - in some cases asking caucus goers to change their votes."
Carson went on to say he partially decided to run for president "to stop these deceptive and destructive practices, and these reports have only further steeled my resolve to continue and fight for 'We The People,' and return control of the government back to them."
In a minor flap earlier in the evening, CNN briefly reported that Carson was not planning on heading to New Hampshire or South Carolina after Iowa, leading to speculation that he was planning to drop out of the race.
Not so: ".@RealBenCarson will be going to Florida to get fresh clothes b4 heading back out on the campaign trail. Not standing down," tweeted Jason Osborne, the Carson campaign's senior communications strategist.
Why is he flying from Iowa to Florida for one day and then going to NH in arguably the most important stretch of his campaign? They don't have dry cleaners in IA, NH or SC? They can't FedEx his suits? No Mens Warehouse or Georgio Armani nearby?
Can you admit that he is an "interesting" fellow?
