Y'know, it really doesn't matter who or even if, someone supports a different candidate. That Trump is scary, manipulative, and possibly inciting violence on the part of his audience -it isn't that far a step from yelling to knocking down, kicking, etc., but then, they have already done that, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised if it happens again. There is something very Hitler Youth Brown Shirt about those people.
After reading that article, it's obvious the newspaper and city staff have it in for Trump.
OH, whine whine whine... everybody has in in for trump. The rest of the universe just can't ALL have it in for trump. It feels like trump supporters are blind to anything but their own adoration of him. Like the fat guy in the red sweatshirt said "I don't have to think, trump is doing it for me".
You obviously hate Trump. You're allowed to do that---don't fear. However, when you stoop to making comparisons to the Holocaust, that's despicable. Maybe you need to educate yourself as to what exactly occurred during the Holocaust before you throw around such vile remarks.
Not a vile remark at all... it is an analogy to history, when someone vile used his supporters to do something vile. I see the hate mongering that trump is doing as something similar to that history.
The number of tickets issued vastly exceeded the capacity of the venue. And the city would still have to deal with parking and pedestrian traffic that was a direct result of the Trump campaign's actions. Cities can and often do require permits such special events, regardless of whether the venue is licensed. It depends on the city and its particular rules.
And the city would be well within their right to disperse the traffic OUTSIDE of the venue..
There is an occupancy permit for such facilities provided yearly, and the government does not dictate what type of venues they believe are acceptable INSIDE.. Anyone who legally fit INSIDE, the city couldnt stop.
However they don't have to review a license. If they have an ordinance on the books regarding public assemblies, and requiring permits to hold such assemblies, then that ordinance has to be followed. The city does have an interest in such regulation, because city resources are deployed to handle crowd control, to deal with illegally parked cars, to enforce fire and building code regulations.
Not renewing a license, wouldnt stop the event since license renewals happen usually yearly.

I never said ANYTHING about license renewals.
