For someone who has done mass events that is a pretty lame statement. Of course you want as big a venue as possible but you don't know how many will show up. Therein lies the challenge.
There is no need to give out 9x the number of tickets out of "fear" people wont show up. they could have given out 2500 tickets and had a full house, if only 1/2 the numbers showed up.

I used to rent out venues and we always wanted a full crowd, even if we had to give tickets away, but you dont overbook by 10 fold, that would be ridiculous..
Would you expect anything else out of Trump's campaign??
they (Trump thugs) turned away anyone other than those who pledged to support him - I thought the purpose of these things was to attract new supporters rather than preach to the choir......

Buc - do you realize how ridiculous your comments are lately? Does your candidate have that show of support? I don't think so - hence the foolish comments made because you're jealous.
You did see that the venue only holds 1400, right?
And, Trump wanted some protesters there so that he could have them thrown out - makes for a better show. Well, at first he wanted them there, but when it turned out that more of them than he expected got inside, he lost his patience with it. I guess he didn't control it as well as he thought.

"Isn't this more exciting?" he asked the crowd.
Later, he suggested that security staffers confiscate protesters' coats.

But as the disruptions continued, Trump's patience appeared to wear thin.

Kinda like the non-Jewish folks were encouraged to turn in any Jews that were hiding in their midst.
that was my first thought - pretty surrealistic and scary this guy Trump has brought out this sort of thing in our country.
