It was suggested and just seeing the fear here and someone even mentioning that he hopes they burn the place down, I mean, the people not supporting Trump are much scarier than Trump could ever be. It is like a possession. I mean if someone hopes the place will be burnt down, would creating empty seats be a stretch?

Can you prove it didn't? We all know that some would do ANYTHING to try to harm Trump. Seriously, we have someone hoping the place is burnt down. Does that come across as reasonable and rational to you? Plus, there will be so many people that whatever the weak and wilting competition have up their sleeve would only backfire on them making them looking even more pathetic and sorry than they already have. I suppose it is based on this: http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2015...ail-miserably/ although I think some of the GOP and their super pacs would be equally hateful.

I do think that sums it up pretty well. Thousands and thousands of people anxious to hear Trump speak on the issues that effect ALL citizens of the United States of American! This is a movement like nothing seen before in my lifetime.

OK, what happened to today's "Trump is finished" thread? Did I miss the one for today? Was it superceded by 20,000 tickets being issued?

Encouraging that a public venue full of thousands of people be burned down is a serious matter in the current climate. Tomorrow, some might wonder why the authorities didn't connect the dots.

Well, at least we don't hope that someone burns down the venues used by the competition. Depending on who did that, that would be classed as a "hate" crime, right?

I wasn't the one to make the claim... If someone makes a claim it is up to that person to supply evidence of the claim not for others to disprove the claim.

i don't think that 20,000 will be showing up but 6,500 ( predicted by the campaign ) is consistent with other trump events. i don't know what the surrounding population/demographic is in comparison to other events but i'd say it's not an unreasonable prediction.

here's hoping that there are no injuries..... and the city has the good sense to supply port-o-potties for an estimated 5,100 people.

I don't if Trump people are smart or just plain lucky. Have you ever seen this much publicity before a campaign event? For one, why is he even going to Vermont?

Exactly. You sound like an independent? How dare you think for yourself.

Nah, nothing could possible go wrong here.

So when nothing happens you'll apologize right?

It is a valid point, but not one nearly as big as they are making it out to be..

I could see twice the number of tickets being issued, but not 10x.. Thats kinda excessive.

Del Pozo said the fact that the event provides residents the opportunity to listen to a major political candidate is the only reason police are allowing Trump to speak as scheduled.
“If Phish was holding a free concert at the Flynn and gave away 20,000 free tickets, we would cancel the event out of public safety concerns,” the chief said. “We are committed to accommodating the campaign because political speech is the very essence of the First Amendment.”
I really hope this doesn't get out of hand. There are a lot of protests planned as well.
