I like how he explained China regarding trafiff's. It went way over the heads of the other candidates, even the commentator. He took control of the stage when he said;
"They can't believe how stupid the American leadership is," Trump said of China. "I'm totally open to a tariff. If they don't treat us fairly — hey, their whole trade thing is a tariff. You can't deal with China without tariff. They do it to us. We don't do it. It's not fair trade."
I suspect that being a supporter of the GOP these days is something like being a 9rs fan, utterly disheartening and disappointing to the point of embarrassment...
What bothers me most about that debate hosted by Fox beyond the over-the-top unsubstantiated accusations and claims about themselves, Obama and Hillary are two things that I would think should bother everyone:
1) Applause. Why is the room filled with people cheering, hooting, clapping and hollering when what we should be getting is just the raw statements from the candidates without the outside "noise" from a select group of people there in the room. Who ARE those people, and why is THEIR voice or applause worthy of our attention nationwide?
2) Why are the different candidates asked different questions? How is it right that we hear the answer to one question from just one or two candidates rather than all of them? Is it right that Fox decides which candidates should get which questions?
Maybe it's just me, but the whole debate is circus enough without at least trying to create something more of a balanced debate forum/process, more in keeping with what I think we all consider more presidential in general. Just about every candidate looked at us last night and emphasized how much trouble we're in. I watched it all and just kept thinking, yeah, no wonder, if this is the best we can do...
Smaller field was nice, but the moderation was horrible. They didn't even try to challenge the candidates on their views, and instead kept encouraging them to rave about Obama by inserting Obamas name on practically every question. The questions don't get any softer than that, and the candidates are not selling their views if they spend their turns whining about Obama. Trump and Cruz were the only ones who managed to make good use of their time, while the others, especially Christie and Rubio spent it all on Obama. The voters lose, because they learn nothing new about the candidates in a debate like that.
" but the moderation was horrible.' I would disagree with tah opinion.
I did however, NOT like it when the went on and on about what one candidate said about another candidate.
Stick to the issues.
"They didn't even try to challenge the candidates on their views,"
I believe you are confusing this debate with the dem "debate".
when the thug Jeb! tried to convince people that Boeing moving their plant to china and giving up trade secrets to the Chinese was a good thing, Trump was their. When the Canadian teddy bear (who I actual like and respect) tried to turn Americans against each other by making the elitism a geographic situation (Ex: working class citizens of New York fighting with working class citizens of Iowa rather than both fighting the establishment in Greenwich Conn. or the rich suburbs of Des Moines) Trump was their. Outside of that Christie and Rubio went on a lying spree arguing which of them is more corrupt and terrible. Carson was great comic relief and was almost a breath of fresh air.
Well, New York can take care of themselves: http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...icle-1.2497009 Cruz came across as a real horse's butt when he opened his mouth on that. I don't see him ever recovering from that remark.
As Believers knows "God works in mysterious ways." I had the faith that the demise of Cruz would materialize. Yes!
New Yorker's, mainly people who live in the city, Have had a bad reputation, well deserved IMO having going to there MANY times for business., for YEARS.

Our country needs someone who excels in business and knows how to negotiate.
Not four more years of sitting back and doing nothing.
TRUMP 2016
I couldn't believe that what Trump was discussing was going over their heads. It didn't go over mine and I'm one of the "uneducated" Trump supporters which kind of makes the rest of them, well, there is no nice word for their level of intelligence, "rock bottom".
Trump ddi about the same as he usually does but better all the time at controlling his disgust with some of the others, and the rest of them couldn't stop stepping in "it".
Mr. Trump pulled the 9/11 card like Hillary (purportedly) pulls the women's card and Lindsey Graham pulls the v-card, as the kids nowadays call it.
The connection between the "New York values" and "9/11" was so tenuous that it was embarrassing. Yes, 9/11 was a horrible day and the NYC showed impressive resilience and unity, but some people shamelessly exploit that attack and the people who perished that day (and in Afghanistan) for political gain.
