My theory is that he is laying the groundwork to drop out of the GOP claiming is has been treated unfairly, run as an independent, and lose.
All on purpose.
He doesn't want this gig, probably never did. Even he can't believe that the idiots that worship him seem to have no limit on how far they'll go to support him.
ridiculous. i don't know what kind of man running for President acts like this. MAN UP. i hope Rand Paul benefits. he's already posted enough gains to make the cut.
something isn't right with Trump. he is too needy.
You libs are too funny.
Rand Paul skipped the last debate because they demoted him to the kiddies table.
I didn't hear you complaining about that -- LOL!
Why didn't Rand Paul need to "MAN UP"?

But we have all these liberal Democrats here shaming Trump for not going on Fox for ONE program (he's appeared on Fox well over one hundred times....)

Exactly.
Most people who watch the debates watch because of Trump. Fox will lose a lot of money because of this.
There is no reason why Trump should put up with that self-preening phony Megyn Kelly who tries to make herself the news.
If Fox were smart, they'd change the moderators. Then they'd get their 24 million viewers. Now they'll be lucky to get 5 million.
Today, Megyn Kelly said "Trump doesn't control the media."
Oh, yeah, Megyn? LOL. He's controlling you NOW. You're talking about him, and not the other candidates -- which is just what he wants!

You libs will watch it.
You're always talking about him.

Apparently your favorite "world leader" can't handle Megyn Kelly either.

[He's saying that instead of the debate he's going to hold an event to raise money for wounded veterans. This Army wife says NO THANK YOU Trump. The military is not a prop, our service members are not political fodder. If you can't handle debate questions and don't want to show up, don't. But don't use the military under the guise of fundraising to help you get media attention.
Trump is talking about money that would otherwise go to Fox, CNN or another network.
They make huge amounts just because he is in the debates.
There is nothing wrong with him using his viewership ratings to require that the networks share that money with veterans.
Just because YOU don't like him doesn't mean that what he's doing is wrong in any way.

Exactly.
Roger Ailes is a stubborn guy.
Kelly is costing Fox a bundle.
Ruppert Murdoch can't be very happy about that.

Why would you wonder that?
According to the RNC rules, candidates decide for themselves whether they will participate in any particular debate.
He confirmed he will not be there and will likely hold his own event in Iowa. This guy has got some huge balls. If he was skipping it just because of Megyn Kelly, I'd say he should go to the debate, but when Fox openly is mocking him I think it gives him a really good excuse to tell them to **** off
Yes, there's no reason for him to put up with Fox, which has been trying to take him down for months.

Hillary and Obama are too cowardly to even bring their "toys" to Fox.
But you think THEY are "leadership material."

As if you would ever watch a Republican debate without Trump or vote for any Republican...

Wow, racism against whites, antisemitism against Jews, and bigotry against Christians all in one short post!

When a moderator shows personal bias, they cease to be a true "moderator".
Exactly.
And what Megyn did was really just try to make HERSELF the news.
That's her brand of "journalism."
So did the other FNC moderators, Chris Wallace and Brett Baier.
A complete waste of time in terms of learning about the candidates.
Fox Business Channel and CNN, on the other hand, had professional moderators for the most part.

Well with Trump not there, maybe Megyn can ask Cruz a few hard questions -- about his being for amnesty before he was against it, his desire to put even more American tech workers out of work by expanding the h-1b program and massively increasing legal immigration even though Americans don't have jobs, his hanging out with a preacher who calls for executing gays, and why he thinks he's electable as a social conservative in a general election when he obviously is not.
Cruz as the nominee would guarantee four more years in the White House for the Democrats.
Last election cycle, people accused others on here of being paid to write posts against a certain candidate. I thought those people were wrong. This election cycle, I'm thinking I was wrong about the last election cycle and people being paid to write posts on here against certain candidates.
What a child. Here's a question. If he can't handle tough questions from Megan Kelly, why should anyone expect that he's up to the job of handling dealing with other leaders around the world, who most likely are going to be tougher than Kelly?
With this tantrum, Trump proves beyond a doubt that he's not up to the job.
Trump is a brat. Furthermore if you are going to raise money for vets, pick one with a better track record.
"According to the charity's tax forms, spending on conferences and meetings went from $1.7 million in 2010, to $26 million in 2014. That's about the same amount the group spends on combat stress recovery -- its top program."
I'm not a Trump supporter, but I have to admire how he has completely played the media during this campaign. Expect to see the ratings for the next debate tumble, and the other candidates will have no good options. This may also be a warning shot to the GOP about an independent run.
Yep....and those still clinging to the old "rules" for candidate behavior and expecting Trump to play by them are being played as well.
Trump has wiped the slate clean of BS that took decades to pile to the sky and it is utterly fascinating to watch. It seems so simple....and yet that which he has already accomplished has been far out of the reach of any other political candidate in our lifetimes.
