This is crucial, and Trump would never pick the leftist garbage she would nominate.

I'm at a loss on this one, but the short list will be very interesting to see.
I also am very interested in who he chooses if he gets the nomination. I am guessing he will only want to be a 1 term President but a lot could happen in that 4 years. Whether I stay home on election day, vote 3rd party or vote for Trump will depend a lot on who he chooses and this might be the first time I have ever felt this way.

If that was his plan, he should have gotten out of the race before the Fla Primary. That spectacle damaged him badly in that state. His best bet now is to find a position that keeps him out of Fla politics but in the public eye, so he can attempt something 8 years or so from now.

A position on the Trump cabinet might be better for him. I don't see him as VP material however so to answer Old Hag's question, Trump should not pick Rubio for VP.

One consideration for Trump. He's a political outsider. The VP, by nature of the Constitution, is also the President of the US Senate. The person he should consider, should be someone who can help him there though it doesn't necessarily have to be a Senator.

Jodi Ernst comes first to mind. She's a good conservative junior Senator and has a military background and barely west of the Mississippi.

I forgot to mention she's from Iowa which helps Trump with the midwest.

Well, her career in agriculture and the military is impressive.

Agriculture and the military.

Agriculture and the military.

A constant theme for millennia over many civilizations, gotta love it.

However, I am not sure her positions on health care and social issues are going to fly. Also the fact that she is a junior senator leaves something to be desired.

Who else among the three or four you alluded to?

I really hope this doesn't happen......along with Chris Christie.

I think a female senator is a reasonable bet, although of course it's playing "the woman card" but Hypocrite Donald loves to attack people for doing exactly what he's doing himself. But I do think he will go with someone more Washington establishment, both in the attempt to unite the party and because maybe he's smart enough to know that he has no clue how Congress actually works and having someone who does would be helpful.

Love the idea but I am afraid, if Trump were to choose her and he gets beat her political future could be damaged. I think the person he chooses should be someone who is nearing the end of their political career or maybe a governor who could go right back to his/her home state and continue running it. I know Christi is one I would not think could help Trump. They are both from the same region. He will need someone, probably from the west or midwest. I would almost think someone like Rand Paul, but then you have 2 not so lovable personalities running together, how would that work?
