In order to be conned, the target either has to be greedy or desperate.

Observe the desperation among Clinton supporters in this thread.

My suggestion for those who are tired of desperate and corrupt politics is to exam the third parties such as the Libertarian Gary Johnson or my choice Jill Stein. Throughout this Clinton supporters induced plagerization hysteria they have been consistently addressing the economic issues that are most important to our lives.

I guess you could see it that way. Unfortunately, your suggestion has not been the lead story at all. The vast majority of the coverage on this incident has been negative about the incident itself, and negative about the handling of the incident. Even the conservative media seems to think it has been an unfortunate distraction from the rest of the convention. I heard Giuliani gave a pretty good speech - but this flap has entirely eclipsed coverage of that speech.

Let me get this straight. Melania wrote down things she adores about Michelle Obama. Nice lead story, don't you think?

My guess is that Ivanka cooked this one up.

I have no idea who you are and I couldn't care less. You're not even on my radar screen for someone to converse with.

The Trump organization is not trying to get the vote of the media nor do they care how the media covers it. They wanted one message, Melania side by side with the person who she adores, Michelle. In the long run, that is all people will remember: the next First Lady.

People hated the Charmin commercial when it first came out.

The only ones doing damage control is the manipulated media who look like fools for devoting three days of coverage to this nonsense. The nice thing about the media is that they are so, so predictable.

The big and deciding battle that will decide the war is the first debate. That's it.

Sorry, dear, but what people will remember is there was a huge scandal over a plagiarized speech. The fact that Melania admires Mrs. Obama for any reason what so ever will not endear her with Republicans who have spent the last 7 1/2 years hating all things Obama. The only ones doing damage control is the Trump campaign and they're doing it 2 1/2 days too late.

And let me go on record to say that Trump will more than likely try to get out of doing the presidential debates.

3 outright lies the Trump campaign told without blinking on this one.

Outright LIE 1: Mrs. Trump said in an interview earlier in the day that she wrote the speech herself.

Outright LIE 2: Trump campaign claimed there was no similarity between the 2 speeches. Then today one of the staffers in the Trump campaign agreed to be the sacrificial lamb on this one and admitted that the paragraph was in fact lifted from MO's speech.

Outright LIE 3: Trump campaign blamed Clinton's campaign for causing the ruckus. As a matter of fact, the Clinton campaign didn't say anything about it. It was everybody else that noticed the plagiarism.

If you can believe that Trump purposely plagiarized a speech as a publicity stunt, then that just mean the scope of the conspiracy and hidden agenda is boundless and defies logic!

In which case, don't blame me for using the same logic that you do.

Trump aide takes responsibility for Melania speech

Hopefully, people will stop discussing this issue. A Trump employee is taking the fall.

Right, the head honchos of the Clinton campaign were to smart to fall for the trap, because they are cut from the same cloth and knew exactly what was going on. It was the foolish media that was so easily duped. Total egg on their face for covering a big zero for three days.

And remember, less we forget, it was all a mistake caused by the fact the Melania adores Michelle. Very important.

Nope. Especially this split screen with Michelle looking absolutely gorgeous and genuine in HER words.
