The Kent State Shootings where National Guards gunned down 13 students, killing four didn't happen in the 70s? We didn't have the Watergate Scandal or two attempted assassinations of President Ford? We didn't have The Son of Sam killings or the attempted assassination of Reagan nor was the U.S. Embassy in Beirut Bombed? The Night Stalker murders never happened in the '80s and Terrorists didn't Hijack TWA Flight 847? We didn't have New York Stock Exchange Suffers Huge Drop on "Black Monday" or see Pan Am Flight 103 exploded due to terrorist's bomb? This was just the tip of the iceberg. If you remember the '70s and '80s as all roses and ice cream you must have been ten.

also, the 'feeling' is that its not safe, you gotta look over your shoulder all the time, there's a homeless beggar on every street median, this wasn't the case in the 70s and 80s, not that homeless beggars are criminals, but it just goes to show how the country has gone downhill over the years, it hasn't improved.

Pathetic and typical of Trump. Someone criticizes him and he goes completely off the tracks and spins lies and innuendos to discredit the person. He could have spent the last several days campaigning against Hillary's record on domestic and international issues but his arrogance and narcissism won't allow it. Trump's attack on Khan's parents and in particular the mother has to be on of the most vile, petty and downright mean spirited thing I have seen in American politics.

No, it's more than "silly verbal insults". Thoughts matter. Words express thoughts. Trumps words are indicative of a very imbalanced and mean spirited, nasty, small minded / petty, vindictive, hateful man.
