Current chief policy director of the House GOP conference is expected to announce his bid for the White House today. He is apparently retaining GOP strategist Rick Wilson and has the money backing of key contributors. He is a BYU graduate and plans to heavily contest Utah. Makes me wonder if this will over shadow Trumps conference today.

Those that step in this late remind of the illegal aliens that have stepped in front of the legal immigrants. Also, it appears that they support the dynasty candidate Hillary in doing this and some Republicans are really frowning on this.
I have never heard of this McMullin and found almost nothing on him when googling. I'm thinking not the biggest threat out there to anyone.

He doesn't have to be really. All he needs to do is shave off 1-2 percent conservative support for Trump. In a tight election that will make him function as a Ralph Nadar for Trump. The biggest issue to Trump might be Utah. He's not that liked there and this could flip it into Clinton column if this guy gets enough buzz. Even so, this isn't great news because it takes the focus away from Trumps economic policy speech. I doubt that was done unintentionally either.
Sounds like this clod might be able to capture a small % of the Mormon vote.
That's my guess. I doubt he would get a ton of the vote. Maybe 1-2 percent at best, and that's a pretty liberal analysis. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even crack 1 percent. Probably the most immediate effect is that this will take news off of Trump when he is supposed to give his policy speech today and might cause him to have a twitter freak out.
Sounds rather crazy. However, I follow Rick Wilson on Twitter, and he did mention his being out of town this weekend, apparently in Washington State (he is from Florida).
I rather look forward, if such is true, Mr. Trump's reaction on Twitter. I expect it to be measured and temperate.
