Excellent question. The answer is, if there was something to it, they would have already nailed Trump to the wall because they are in desperation mode. I am sure Obama had the IRS scanning every item of Trump's tax returns for over a year now. As we know, Obama has used the IRS as his personal gestapo.
I agree the stench of desperation is so thick that no one can deny it. IF there was anything to nail Trump on, they have had a year. Now, we get a lot of wordplay in the article titles, "suspected" "alleged" etc. Most of the stuff is trumped or flat out lies. I guess they don't know the story about the boy that cried "wolf" too many times.

All of these years even before Trump decided to run if some tax law(s) was broken one would think that a high profiled man like Trump would have already received much coverage of such very long ago. I lived pretty much right across the river from NYC (till 4 plus years ago) so with the NY based media even I wouldn't have missed something like that.
I already voted in this election as a mail-in ballot for Trump of course.

Trump has already been nailed many, many times. The thing is that all his punishment has been fines and penalties, he hasn't gone to jail yet. Which apparently is the only measurement used by right-wingers like you.
It's funny that Trumpeters post the most blatant, obviously bogus lies and claim they are truth; but when faced with facts they claim they are lies. It's like they are living in a backward reality.

The answer is that the Dems have (at least) a little bit of class.
Use the same logic, and ask yourself why the Repubs have gone after Hillery multiple times on the same non-scandals (Benghazi, Email, etc.) and keep coming up blank, even when the investigators are led by a motivated, republican-friendly foe of the Clintons.

Unlike the Republicans, the Dems will let the law take it's natural course. Their focus is not "bring Trump down", it's "do the job they were elected to do. In that, they'll get out of the way and let justice take it's course, rather than irrespsonibly waste taxpayer money.
Hate Hillary or don't, that's your choice, but how can you support the constant choice of the RNC to put party in front of country to remove this foe that they are so afraid of?
