The republican party as we knew it under the Bushes and before is no more, and may never be the same again. It's going to take twenty years just to get the Trump smell out of the carpet, and it's anybody's guess which fragment is going to be the one to begin consolidating power again.

I am sure you are very mistaken.

Trump is not a uniter, he is a divider.

BTW Trump is part of the "establishment."

The establishment is policy, not the government.

There is no better way to make the change than by voting in a president that is not an establishment career politician.

I dont want them to get along.. This country runs best when there is roadblocks to policies.. Look at President Clinton for example.. Widely successful, despite the numerous government shutdowns..

Ask yourself why? Why would the GOP establishment and the typically conservative media be against Trump? More to the point, why would conservative entities support Clinton when they KNOW that the future of the SC is on the line? The SC more than any other single issue, will effect every American citizen for a generation. Or more.

Are they against Trump so vehemently because they are worried about the future of this nation? Does anyone believe that? Anyone? Bueller?

I am appalled. But not at Trump. I am appalled with every gutless conservative politician, media outlet and TV talking head who has abandoned conservative voters. I am appalled at them for abandoning the GOP candidate for president of the United States, while KNOWING what we know about Clinton and KNOWING what a progressive SC will do to this nation.

They can all go to hell.

There is a lot of truth in that statement. IF Trump has come across as a sane, reasonable, intelligent, respectful, person, who showed some ability to work with others, he would have had a pretty good shot at winning this thing. He came along at a perfect time, and, even though he came across as a whack-job, he still gathered a lot of support. Can you imagine if he was able to control himself and demonstrate that he actually had the skills and temperament to sit in that oval office ?

But he didn't possess any of those attributes, most notably the simple ability that most normal people have, the ability to control himself. Donald Trump torpedoed his own chances of winning and has no one to blame but the orange face he sees in his gold framed mirror every day.

The key isn't that they are against him, the key is to figure out the REAL reason they're against him. Hint: its not because they love their country, are putting country first and are afraid that Trump will hurt 'everyday americans' if elected.

Its another reason entirely. Hopefully you guys reading this can figure that out this month.

If the party of Bush is gone that is a very good thing.

You actually think it's possible to unite this country? Do you also believe in unicorns, leprechauns and the tooth fairy?

No one is uniting this country. Will never happen ever again. If some mythical figure were to do it, it would be neither of the two ignoramuses running for president.
