Meanwhile the very same people faking their outrage about this voted enthusiastically for a guy who had connections to domestic terrorists, not only voted for him once but twice.

Why the deflection? If you don't think that the Trump Mob and Cohn connections are significant that's ok, we'd like to hear your reasoning. I can tell you that I am not "faking my outrage" about these connections - this is truly scary stuff. It shows exactly what we could expect from a Trump Presidency; from a man who admired Roy Cohn and patterned his life after the guy. Why would we want that?

That's not the way the world works, my friend. If you have some defense for Trump and his Mob connections - make them.
These baseless claims about Trump ties to the mob have been debunked many times in the first 5-6 threads on this topic.

OK I will take your word for it. I didn't see any of those threads and I am on C-D a lot. You are right about the Trump Tax threads there are a lot of those.
How were Trump's ties to the Mob debunked?

hahahaha...You know nothing about how work gets done in NYC. It has always been like that. I bet HRC has ties to the mob as well being a senator for the state.

Please post links to these threads.

I scanned through the three threads I found and didn't read of any debunking.

Google lists numerous articles about Trump's ties to the mob.

"I've covered Donald Trump off and on for 27 years, and in that time I’ve encountered multiple threads linking Trump to organized crime. Some of Trump’s unsavory connections have been followed by investigators and substantiated in court; some haven’t. And some of those links have continued until recent years, though when confronted with evidence of such associations, Trump has often claimed a faulty memory."

"What emerges is a pattern of business dealings with mob figures—not only local figures, but even the son of a reputed Russian mob boss whom Trump had at his side at a gala Trump hotel opening, but has since claimed under oath he barely knows."

I'm no expert, but I've been around New England enough to know how pervasive the influence of the Mob is, even today. I am sure you are right that everyone that has done business there has has to get dirty at some level to get things done. I would want absolutely nothing to do with it, personally. I can't imagine living in NE, I like it out here in the heartland, but to each his own.

The difference is how CLOSE Trump got to Cohn and the Mob leaders, how much he admired their tactics, and how he patterned his life after them. This is where Trump developed his present day persona. I could accept the fact he had to do some business with them, it's an entirely different matter when you decide to take on their character. And then decide to run for President?

The one person that Trump admired the most in the early years was Roy Cohn, the attack dog New York lawyer. Cohn's clients included not only Donald Trump but Mafia figures John Cody, Carmine “Cigar” Galante. Anthony “Fat Tony” Salerno, and "Teflon Don" John Gotti.

Cohn had a reputation for being one of the most evil men on the planet, with absolutely no morals or shred of compassion. When you look at Trump today, it's very clear that Roy Cohn shaped his personality and approach to those that dare oppose him. Cohn taught Trump the two cardinal rules; first, when someone attacks you, whether they are right or they are wrong, the counterattack must be nothing less than a scorched earth response; second, to never apologize under ANY circumstances, and above all never to forgive or forget someone that crossed him or his clients; always exact extreme vengeance.

In 1983, Trump allegedly met with Cohn client Anthony “Fat Tony” Salerno, the boss of the Genovese crime family, in Cohn’s New York apartment. Trump had employed S&A Concrete, owned by Salerno and Paul “Big Paul” Castellano, head of the Gambino crime family, to build Trump Tower. Later, Trump bragged about the Salerno "alleged" meeting in an interview to describe how he would negotiate nuclear policy with the Soviets. Interesting that he HAD to brag about that meeting with Salerno when it was surely meant to remain secret.

I see a lot of people making comparisons between Trump and Hitler, but when you take a deeper look at his behavior and history and influences, he is really more like a wanna-be Mafia Mob boss in the way he deals with his opponents. Not surprising since he's freely admitted that Cohn and Putin are the sort of people he admires.

You can find plenty of material out there about Trump, Cohn and the Mob, here are a few links:
