^^Texas has too many rural areas to campaign in for him to win. That's been a big problem for Democrats. Too many media markets where they don't have the ground game to compete given that they haven't run a true statewide campaign since 1992. This guy is committing political suicide as he won't defeat Cruz, but, hey, I guess someone has to run.
This is pretty weak. I am assuming he is running now to raise name ID for a later race. Or because he thinks Cruz will be primaried by a complete loon.
I'll atleast give Dems credit for paying attention to all states/races again. Sometimes you get lucky. And in this case they want to be running candidates now because the state will be a much different demographic in 10 years. I think it will be more similar to Florida with the number of folks moving in/out.

The above is both funny and scary at the same time. Evil Ted loses to someone even further to the right.
Some of you seem to be shocked that the other party even runs candidates in states where they are going to lose.
This seems like a ploy to cut off anyone else who may want to run for the nomination.
It was his decision to run, he doesn't exactly have the blessing of the establishment. That would probably be Castro. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say that he's an "outsider", just that I don't think he's the D's first choice.
