Should Obama resign because he called McCain another Bush? That is politics but the advisor was fired because Obama decided it would hurt him and that's quite a difference.Ken Star is admired by many people but certtainly not the clintons but in the end Bill clinton came out pretty true to Star's investigation.
The Democratic party leaders are concerned about internal strife, not external. That's why the Obama adviser resigned. If she had called Bush a monster, who cares? The idea (for Democrats) is to win in November and comparing the front runner to Ken Starr and saying Obama's not as qualified as the Republican candidate is not endearing Hillary to a lot of Democrats. She should be ashamed of her tactics, as should any Democrat.
Somehow, the nuance in the Clinton story has been lost. The Clinton advisor was making a joke and implied they were imitating Ken Starr: "I for one do not believe that imitating Ken Starr is the way to win a Democratic primary election for president, but perhaps that theory will be tested."
Anyway, being called a Monster is worse -- since it clearly wasn't said in jest if you read the context of how it was said.
Why all this crying over NAFTA how many more reports do you people need to be showed to realize it did minimal damage at best to loosing american jobs. Corporations want the lowest bottom line and if a union wants to jack up the wages (rightfully so) why would a corporation stay??? Their are plenty of cheaper place to do business.
Ken Starr was a honest brilliant lawyer whose character was dirtied by the Clintonistas.
If he had been allowed to succeed some of the Clintonistas would have gone to prison..
My solution to NAFTA...bring Mexico and Canada into the United States...Ask the people to decide by referendum.
Had Ken Starr come up with something really important, I might agree. I'm no Bill fan, but Bill seemed to know the law better than Kenny Boy. The definition of "is'.
"Monster" was an ad hominem attack on Hillary; the "Ken Starr" comment came after an Obama representative said he was going to revisit all of the Whitewater stuff. It was not an off-the-cuff attack on Obama himself.
When a person has the power...he can define the definition of 'is' anytime he wants...well said...brownie point for you...
