Gosh, I don't know....maybe thats why the next line discusses history?
Really? Thats what you felt was worth time typing in? A inane and wrong comment?
Let me spell it out more then.
In 2009 after Obama took office the Republicans lost every special election they ran in. In the following year they took the house.
The fact the Democrats are losing is not a surprise. The surprise is just how good they are doing in red states. Given that, we can expect the 2018 races to be pretty amazing in the same way. Possibly more so.
That help you comprehend what I was saying?
nothing about my comment was wrong. this is not 2009.
I didn't know that losing was good, maybe you can help me to understand that one.
You are trying to deflect this to off topic badly but I will not take the bait.
The fact remains, the liberals attempted to buy a seat in this special election and close or not....-lost-.
How is it a historical loss? The seat has been held by a Republican for 40 years. I mean, it's freakin Georgia. Redneck, white trash morons go with the territory.
"How is it a historical loss?"
Because of the money spent set records and STILL LOST.
Because of all the dems screaming and chanting saying how they were going to WIN, this time, which turned out the same as the other 4 or 5 special elections this year.
This is actually a pretty good result for Ds. They have turned what was previously a 20 pt R district into one where Clinton went 47 and Ornoff went 48 and 47. So its definitely an R district- as it has been since '79- but its now one that requires more attention for the Rs to carry.
Looks like everyone can get a good nights sleep and wait another 5 months for the next round of election night rapture and meltdown cycles starring the state of Virginia.
The big question know is if this emboldens Rs to go bigger with their ACA repeal.
Of course everyone knew the dems would come up with a comment like this: It was a good night for them What about all those who were so sure your candidate was headed to victory? What about all those who thought this election would be a mandate for the Dems and show what they will do next year? What about all those who said, Trump would bring the Reps down and last buy not least, what does this tell us about polls? anyone?
