And... his supporters are whining about a recount. Let's recount the brain cells that they have collectively. It won't go beyond about 100.

Oy.
He backed the loser twice for one seat.

Even if every black person in Bama voted for Jones - he would still have needed white votes. He got them - especially with the younger demographic.

Really? Is Shelby a democrat? Are all the Republicans who initially spoke out against Moore now suddenly Democrats?

Alabama made the right decision. Roy Moore is not fit to be Senator and that was BEFORE the credible allegation against him surfaced.

No one FORCED anyone to vote for Jones. The ballot booth is private.

Please.
not disagreeing with you at all. Read what I said, of course it takes more than one group to elect a candidate. That was not my point at all.

And a whole bunch of other things such as "awww, are your feelings hurt?" etc. Those on the right really aren't going to like 2018 and 2020. Trump and crew really have the Democrats energized. And we had won the popular vote by several million in 2016 with the weakest candidate we had run in at least thirty years. We won in Virginia last month. And now Alabama.

Yep, it is tough when you run against convicted felons and sex offenders.

They made sure to count, "the felons in prison" vote. First time felons could vote in Alabama for the first time, but the Democrat voting block in Alabama gained no vote totals. Totals lower than Sessions opponent. She had over 750,000 votes. Jones 675,000.

1.9 million people went to the ballots yesterday in Alabama.
Lets add.
Jones 675,000
Moore650,000

= 1,325,000

Where are the rest of the ballots.
Where did you get your facts? Neither sound right to me.
1) They are not going to count the overseas vote.
2) 1.9 million voted but only 1,325,000 counted

Where are you getting the 1.9 million from? That isn't what the State site claims.

And you the part about underage girls. Yes it is a shame that so many people would rather vote for a man such as this just to keep their Senate majority from going from two to one.

Where in the heck were those 700,000 Republicans?

Thanks alot

Not in five key counties, that's for sure.

In addition to Jefferson Co (Birmingham) and the central "Black Belt", Five Key counties also went for Jones

*The University Counties (Tuscaloosa Co, Univ of Ala; Lee Co, Auburn Univ) - apparently the white under-30 crowd doesn't like Moore that much.

*Madison Co. (Huntsville, Aerospace and high-end NASA facilities. 2nd most four-year-degreed county in the state)

*Shelby Co. (suburb of Birmingham, the most four-year-degreed county in the state). A fortress of Republican support. Support for major republican offices recently as high as 80%. And Moore got only 56 this time around?? Granted, that's still a win, but this low? That's GOTTA hurt!

*Mobile Co. (Mobile) - more ethnically diverse than other AL counties. 5.2% neither black nor white, and 34% black, 60% white. Plus, Mobile is a little bit more looser culturally than most of AL (this is getting fairly close to New Orleans, and in fact was founded by the French. It even has an older Mardi Gras than New Orleans!)

Home, for a crucial number of they, yes
Hiding their heads in shame? Yes, especially those who voted for Nick Saban (Bama's Head Coach) instead of Moore, yet couldn't vote for Jones.
Unwilling to endorse a candidate who needs to ask his date's mothers for permission? Ditto.

Sounds about right to me. I'm sure that's the case even for a good number of small town and rural whites.
