Pardon me. He can just declare executive privilege, much the way Obama used to.

Do you remember how Obama and his crew routinely stonewalled the Republican Congress after the 2010 elections, trolling them right out of the oval office, baiting them and basically refusing to cooperate or give them what they wanted? Do you remember how furious that made Republican leaders? Do you remember how you laughed and giggled and cheered?

Well, you are getting ready to enjoy that experience from the other side now. Trump has been trolling you guys in no uncertain terms over the last two years. But that was just the warm up round for what happens next.

Executive privilege. Get used to that term and other similar terms. And here is a song that will be the theme of this next two years for the #Resistance and for the Democrat left, especially for Democrats in the House of Representatives. Enjoy.

I never laughed at the assertion of executive privilege or classifying documents. Personally, I think both are really overused (if not abused) and that the government should be more transparent. I wasn't an Obama supporter so I don't know how his assertion of it would change the equation for me.

But... Executive privilege only applies to documents prepared for and by the executive. Trump's personal tax returns are neither. Want to try a third time?

Not only will the Republicans have four more seats in the Senate, they will not have McCain, Corker or Flake, or even Heller. Which is in some cases like having 3-4 more seats.

Mitch McConnell is getting ready to have a much easier next two years than his last two years were. And since not much legislation will be passable, he will surely go all-in ramming through Trump's judicial nominations. That appears to be a virtual certainty.

The popular vote being greater than 2010 is an important point because it shows us that this election WAS a blue wave, at least in the House vote. It only didn't result in a 60+ seat gain because of how gerrymandered the districts were for Rs. No one seriously denies that 2010 was a red wave, when fewer people voted for Rs than those who voted D yesterday.

McConnell was already ramming through judicial nominees. Other than Brett Kavanaugh, who's judicial nomination has been held up?

No need. Watch and see what happens. Again, Obama set the precedent for obstructing Congress during his last six years. If you do not think Obama did that, then you will not mind Trump behaving the same way. Regardless of what you think, rest assured that Trump will lever those Obama precedents to the maximum. And his adversaries will not get the satisfaction that they crave.

And if there are any disputes, these arguments can just be appealed to the Supreme Court. Then, as Newt Gingrich observed, we will see if the confirmations of Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch were worth the effort.

You're delusional. My state was gerrymandered extremely for the Democrats by our Far Left Supreme Court here, and that is one of the reason they picked up seats. This was NO Blue Wave, nor was it a referendum against Trump. That's why the Media is so disappointed today. They were sure they could convince most Americans that Trump is the Devil even though things are going well in the U.S.

So you tried with "he'll classify his tax returns" then admitted you were wrong. Then you tried with "he'll exert executive privilege over his tax returns" but that was incorrect too. Now you're just talking in generalities. Didn't you want to try to claim that his tax returns can be put on double-secret probation before resorting to this nonsensical blather?

Classic logical fallacy of Red Herring type.
