I would hope no one would vote based on sexual orientation, color or gender, but we all know there are many, on both sides that do still base their vote on a persons personal life or group identification/
AS for Cory's sexuality that isn't going to hurt him much, but he is not going to come close to getting the nomination period.
Of course the little tid bit that Cory isn't actually gay.....
Cory has never been married, but he's had several long-term relationships with women, and dates only women.
Personally, I think he's like a lot of the straight guys I know; he isn't gay and likes women, but he just doesn't want to get married. I know dozens of guys who live with their women and they're never married, and it's no big deal at all, but it's always a big deal for a politician.
Openly living with a woman outside of marriage is something politicians can't do if he expects to be re-elected. Even getting elected once is a very hard proposition. The number of bachelors who have had long political careers in Congress can be counted on the fingers of one hand, and we haven't elected a bachelor President since the early 1900s.
That peculiar blue-nosed attitude seems to be growing worse for anyone but Trump. It's very strange how he's exempted while anyone else is so quickly demonized for not being a married guy with kids.
He isn't gay. He is dating Rosario Dawson. Pete Buttigieg is the only gay candidate running.
I wouldn't vote for him, but if he got the nomination....and won...and they got married....IMO, she would be the hottest first lady we've ever had.
