The worst thing possible for Trump is for political oriented preachers to start telling their flocks that "you have no choice in this election". That hurts him in Pennsylvania and Ohio the most of the swing states.
If this was 1990 you might have a point. In 2019, it's wishful thinking.

Remember it was Hillary & Obama who actually campaigned for President going on record as being against Gay Marriage.

You keep saying this, but it is misleading.

Both Obama and Clinton supported gay rights far more than Trump ever publicly stated.

And Preachers absolutely still preach against gay people. In fact, my homophobic aunt just tried to hold an intervention for her lesbian daughter, with the leaders of her church being the ones who gave her the idea to do it.

You can argue that Trump will overcome these people, but dont pretend they dont exist.

White evangelical support for gay marriage is 34%.

But I can always be wrong, because one thing Trump took from Cohen and has used the most is to never neglect any possible target to attack if it is in your favor.
Yeah, I tend to agree with the last point. Trump is a win at all costs guy. Regardless of his views on gays, if he thinks it will help him he will use it. I suspect he will indirectly play the gay card to help drive up the evangelical vote and make Pete radioactive to the republican base the way Hillary or Obama was.

Trump afterall did peddle the nutty theory that Obama was born in Kenya for years. I'm sure he didn't believe it, but he thought it would endear him to the base.
