Can't say I am, as nothing was done to the people who engaged in the reprehensible behavior and BO still walks around claiming he had a "scandal-free" administration.
Democrats now have endorsed institutional voter suppression.
So basically that law has disenfranchises half the registered voters in that state.***************
the TDS fantasy continues and Putin is cutting thousands of checks and mailing them to democrats and their supporters who enjoy carrying out putin's subversive attempts to divide America. Obama is smiling, his work to see carried out so effectively.
These states' model for elections, then, would be Venezuela, Guatemala, Pakistan, or Gaza. The privileged elites, after all, are smarter than mere rabble. The rabble elects the likes of Trump, Bolsonaro (Brazil), Giuseppe Conte (PM of Italy), Volodymir Zelensky (Ukraine) and Benjamin Netanyahu, who don't pass muster if the corridors of universities or mass media headquarters buildings.
So all of these states are going to disenfranchise tens of millions of voters because they have anal warts and migraines over the possibility that Donald Trump might win another election.
If the red states did this the left would be having conniption fits.
The loony left should try winning an election by running a decent candidate instead of cheating. Anyone that won because the other party left a sitting president off the ballot (for whatever reason) would never be recognized as legitimate. It would throw the entire country into chaos.
Wait. Is this right? Legislators in various states are going to disallow Trump's name from a ballot because he won't (or can't) release his tax returns? Forget for a moment that it's Trump. Just say that your (speaking generally) candidate's name isn't allowed on the ballot because lawmakers don't like him ... Isn't that voter suppression? That can't be legal, is it?
Besides, what's all the hoopla over Trump's tax returns anyway? Surely, if he is guilty of that, wouldn't the IRS be all over this? Trump's been in office for over two years already and not a peep from the IRS.
I remember when Agnew resigned and pleaded guilty for tax evasion. They obtained proof so it was a smart move on his part to resign before being indicted. But has anything come to light with regard to Trump's taxes that could culminate in criminal charges? Or is this just a way to block votes because lawmakers are afraid he'll win again? 'Course, it doesn't matter to me if he's on the ballot or not. What's more concerning to me is that voters' rights are being infringed upon and like I said earlier, this time it's Trump but next time it might be someone you want to vote for.
It has been shown that the Dems will use any legal act by a Republican that can be used to stoke envy in their base. A man like Trump has done many legal things to better his financial status, that the Dems can use to inflame the ignorant among their base. Their success at doing that can be shown by noting the number of people clamoring for Trump to release his tax returns.
So all of these states are going to disenfranchise tens of millions of voters because they have anal warts and migraines over the possibility that Donald Trump might win another election.
And yet the same people support having people vote who really don't want to identify themselves. Should "JBGUSA" be allowed to show up and vote in the name of my CD handle?
Twenty states are considering laws which will require presidential candidates to release their tax returns if they wish to appear on that state's ballot. Trump has steadfastly refused to release his taxes.
Before the Trumpsters cry "unconstitutional," be aware that the Constitution grants the states the power to administer and conduct all elections in the manner of their own choosing.
States cannot impose requirements for qualifications in addition to those specified in the Constitution.
Not to worry, because none of this matters.
This is what happens:
1) On Thursday, October 15, 2020, Trump files suit in each of the 20 federal courts having jurisdiction over those 20 States seeking an order declaring the law unconstitutional and an order for injunctive relief.
2) On Friday, October 15, 2020, courts are obligated by case law to grant injunctive relief.
3) Later that day, States scramble at great cost and expense to tax-payers to print new ballots with Trump's name on it.
4) Normally, you have 21 days to respond to a summons and complaint filed in federal court, but government agencies generally have up to 60 days.
5) The States will then scramble at great cost and expense to tax-payers to draft an answer to the complaint, with law firms racking up billable hours on over-time gouging State tax-payers.
6) Even if the States manage to draft and file an answer before Tuesday, November 3rd, a hearing on the matter cannot be calendared until after the 21 day period to answer, so the first hearing cannot be before Wednesday, November 4.
7) The order for injunctive relief will remain in place in any event through the appeals process, and an appeal wouldn't happen until after the Election.
So, it's all for naught.
The failure of the States would be so massive it wouldn't even be a Pyrrhic victory.
