Good to see those freedom lovng Democrats are all in favor of restricting our rights and in the case of Obama giving certain people more rights.

Barack Obama
Supports extending the assault weapons ban. Supports national law against carrying concealed weapons, with exceptions for retired police and military personnel. Supports limiting gun sales to one per month.
Okay, this guy is insane. Ban on concealed carry? I don't think so. If they do that, does that mean its okay for me to ride with it laying on my dashboard? If I can't hide it in my clothing, can I wear it in a holster on my hip?

And the mandatory trigger lock is retarded. People keep forgetting that you can't legislate common sense. Stupid people will do stupid things regardless of legislation. Stripping the responsible people of their rights is insane, and unconstitutional.

But of course, the first thing our government did when they went into NOLA after Katrina was start confiscating guns.

As governor, signed into law a permanent ban on assault weapons. Supported the 1994 federal assault weapons ban. Supported the Brady Bill requiring waiting periods for handgun purchases, but says it is no longer needed due to instantaneous background checks. Joined the NRA as a lifetime member in 2006.
Why did romney join the NRA right before running for president?

Because a LOT of gun owners will be fooled(or will be willing to forget) what he has actually done to restrict our rights.

I'm honestly a bit scared at the prospect of having some of these people in office. Constitutional rights? Eh, who needs 'em?

If you want the real data on trigger locks, read Freedomnomics by John Lott Jr.

"People" means us in the 1st, 4th, 9th, and 10th amendments, right? So why does "people" in the second amendment mean the national guard or armed forces to most politicians?

Because most Americans care more about American Idol than their rights.
