Suspending the federal gas tax is a crass ploy for votes. Why Hillary Clinton and John McCain should know better. Hillary Clinton has now join John McCain in proposing the most irresponsible policy idea of the year—an idea that actually could aid the terrorists. What's worse, both of them know that suspending the federal gas tax this summer is a terrible pander, and yet they're pushing it anyway for crass political advantage. Yes, the Republicans, Clinton and McCain, are blatantly pandering....lift the gas tax and taxpayers may save a whopping $30 to $50 over the summer. Meanwhile roads and infrastructure suffer from lack of funds and the peolple who work on the roads and infrastructure will be without work...GREAT and typical REPUBLICAN plan strictly aimed to pull the wool over the eyes of the unsuspecting.

Just when I think they can't possibly sink any lower, they surprise me.

But back to the issues that truly matter. I hear that Rev. Wright was drinking BLACK coffee today? Isn't that racist?

Actually, I'd want it just so I can travel the roads for one summer, without bumper to bumper traffic due to them tearing up the same roads they repaired 2-3 years ago..

Imagine the amount of gas I'll save not sitting in traffic..

I agree it is a political ploy and Hillary needs to be focused on long term fixes for the rising fuel costs like Obama. It good to see that Obama isnt falling in the trap of playing political games with issues that are affecting the lives of millions of Americans.

Obama has fathered two, TWO black children.

This is a stupid idea. When the moratorium ends, they'll find that gas prices are higher than before. It's not even an issue of supply and demand. We need to stop the dollar's slide.

Maybe it wasn't a political ploy. Maybe even worse they didn't know any better? Maybe they didn't think before acting now that would be scary. Remember McCain has said he is no student of economics and I don't hear anyone shouting out that Hilllary has any academic credentials. Is there any question that Obama is the intellectual of the group. The Billary crowd has even accused him of being an intellectual out of touch with Bubba.

After an incredible slam by the Nation's Economists, has this truly exposed how out of touch McCain/Clinton are with working class voters?
