An informative link --
"McCain was the only member of Congress to skip every single crucial environmental vote scored by the organization, posting a score lower than Members of Congress who were out for...serious illnesses--and even lower than some who died during the term."
Thank you for the info, max's mama.

The fact that the Sierra Club doesn't like him tells me that maybe McCain isn't all that bad after all.

Of course the environmental groups are one of the demcarats biggest special interest groups. Kind of like the NRA giving a report card on Obama.

You know I was planning to vote for Obama but you guys are making McCain more and more attractive to me with these posts.... McCain doesn't stand for bunk science and Obama is fielding special interests for corporate profit with bunk science... I thought Obama gotten away from special interests... apparently not...

Oh by the way... the link where Sierra is "gathering" its information doesn't load for me... anyone have this problem?

"McCain missed votes to save his constituents $499 million dollars at the pump and at least $550 million on their energy bills, while creating more than 10,000 new clean energy jobs in his home state.

Sierra Club.. please tell me what bill this was because I dont recall hearing anything about a bill to save the tax payers half a billion at the pump, especially one that the Sierra Club would endorsed. After all, doesnt saving money at the pump contradict the Sierra Club's philosophy because it would encourage more fuel use, more fuel drilling, killing the polar bears?

Houston, I smell a lier somewhere..

I don't know...environment for me is a very very important issue and the fact that McCain skipped on makes me very nervous. After Bush, we really need a president who is consious of all the environmental issues today.

Obama voted for Dick Cheney's energy bill that can potentially do more harm to the environment than McCain's missed votes.

By the way, his vote was influenced by Exelon lobbyists.
