While in boarding school John had the nickname McNasty from his willingness to fight. Hmmmmmmmm Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran? Come on can anyone doubt Johnny Mc wants his own war to fight not one he inherited?
John McCain
John McCain III attended a private boarding school, where he was nicknamed "McNasty" for his willingness to fight. Later, at the US Naval Academy, he gained a reputation as a ladies' man, complained that he was picked on by his commanding officer, and graduated 894th out of 899 in his class

Interesting blurb about his mom and her sense of accomplishment.
His mother, a wealthy oil heiress, has been described as "the Auntie Mame of Navy wives." The family still chuckles about the day she went on an errand to buy a new dress, and came home with a new Mercedes instead.

What is fascinating is that this is from a right wing publication that is very positive to Senator McCain and they consider these things to be pluses. I just don't see mainstream America wanting in the same positive light. Read for yourself.

Oh yeah his high school alma mater (Episcopal High School) now cost $38,000 a year, yup thats right 38k for high school. Yup this is the candidate that understands your pain.

I see no problem with this. It's their money, they earned it, they can spend it how they want.

I also have no problem with McCain's temperment. I see it as a plus.

So his was a golden spoon? Too bad he isn't as articulate as Obama, maybe he wouldn't have had to fight so much.

Hmmm, sounds like a bad ass to me.

By the way, how is being a rich wealthy oil heiress worse than a billionaire catsup heiress.

Or the heir of an illegal bootlegger turn stock speculator.

How is it when democrats are rich they can still feel your pain?

Of coourse OBAMA feels your pain. He was "raised on foodstamps" while his mother pursued her PhD. He went to an exclusive private school, and lived in Indonesia where step-daddy was a wealthy businessman.

After turning down "big wall street jobs" to register people to vote, he and his wife (who received a hundred thousand or so/year pay bump after Obama steered money to her hospital) "feel your pain" because they too understand how high arugala prices have gone up at whole foods, and gosh darn it, it's so hard to afford the $10,000/year spent on ballet and piano lessons for the girls, ya know?!

Barack and Michelle keep it REAL!

I always cracks me up when folks try to make the opposition candidate look bad by pointing out their financial success.

As if we'd be better off with some broke loser running the country?
Give me a break!

Lets face it, in America (for good or bad) success is measured by your financial status. People that are motivated and competent tend to rise to the top - isn't that what America is supposed to be all about.

Or are you folks saying that is all a myth?

But somehow we still maintain an illusion that our leaders are just "regular" guys just like us and that anyone classified as "elite" is someone to not elect.

Well, I got news for folks, "Elite" is a good thing. It means cream of the crop, best of the best.

I want someone of the "Elite" running the country - not some regular ******* who can't even manage his own finances properly.

So McCain came from an educated, "Elite" background and went to top schools - so what?
To me, that makes him a good choice - someone used to success and understanding what it takes to be among the "best of the best".

So Obama earned scholarships to get himself into an Ivy League school - so what?
To me, that makes him a good choice - someone smart enough to value an education and hard-working enough to earn one.

Ken

Finances aside if we are concerned about a mean streak in McCain then should we now suspect he had it prior to his military experience and that he is a natural born bully?
