Well it certainly isn't showing in any form, especially the polls. You can think whatever you want, but the trip is widely seen as successful. No spin required, O'Reilly.

Why? Because of the gallup poll? That's all it takes for you to think the deal is done? Should I link to all the articles that thought his speech, and trip, were just a photo-op, full of empty air?

The world's press was pretty enthusiastic about it, no hiding that.

And I don't know what you're reading, but those types of articles were in the tiny minority.

What's the matter McCain supporters? Not secure enough in your man to let him stand up on his own merits?

This is just a FEW of the articles. Plenty more. I'm sure you can also cite articles that claim he was a smash, right?

Crimminy; He couldn't even get his historical facts straight in the speech (ie, the airlift and the reason "the wall" came down). Soaring empty rhetoric with perfect pitch and inflection.

And he's STILL going to be the next president, sanrene.

You know, I can imagine what you would've been like had the internet been invented 50 years ago. Instead of boring us all to tears with your OMG BARRY HUSSEIN rhetoric, you would've been boring us all with your "Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation FOREVER!!!!" rhetoric.

The title of the Real Clear Politics link sounds real negative and the source Real Clear Politics is a good source and the date of the article is current. However is the observation made about Obama popularity current? I provide you with what the author says about how scientific his observation is and when he made it. Thus you the independent observer can judge for yourself the relevance to this discussion. If interested you can comment on the validity of the other sources for objectivity and content as I have.

RealClearPolitics - Articles - Obamamania Not a Worldwide Phenomenon

My own unscientific poll -- conducted while traveling in May and June to six of the G-8 industrial nations (I missed Germany and Canada) and three other European countries -- suggests that while Obamania is deep in Western Europe, it is not as broad globally as is often thought here.

Did you really mean to include this one that has this as a conclusion?

I think the pictures from earlier in the week, in Iraq, will end up being worth a whole lot more. In the meantime, we can take substantive heart in the fact that we in America actually might elect someone who believes the things Obama said in Berlin and won't tell the rest of the world to go screw itself.

Michael Tomasky: Barack Obama's unmemorable Berlin speech | Comment is free | guardian.co.uk

I mean if you did Obama says thank you. When you read the whole article and not just the title he says the speech wasn't his best one and he likes the picture of McCain in the supermarket aisle but we let the independent reader take from his last pargagraph what they want and they may want to read the whole article. This is good stuff for camp Obama.
