FINALLY!! The first good thing the do-nothing Liberal Democratic Congress has finally done something good: NOTHING!
That's right. They have done NOTHING! The Dems refused to drop the Drilling Ban and now the ban will expire!! Even if the Liberal majority did do something to renew the drilling ban, Bush would veto and they have no power to override it (not enough votes).
So the idiotic drilling ban will DIE. Iranians, Venezuelans, speculators, Obama donors... better start crying. The US WILL become energy independent, and once we move to alternative fuels, the US will export oil and recover some of the money we have lost in the past few years.
"The US empire will die", says the Iranian dictator today at the UN. I think NOT. Not while we have Conservatives and the goodwill of the American people!!

Ps.Just last week, the House passed legislation to open waters off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts to oil and gas drilling but only 50 or more miles out to sea and only if a state agrees to energy development off its shore.
That would have left almost 90 percent of offshore reserves effectively off-limits. The Dems tried to pass the "sham drill bill" - Yet another scam by the Democrats in Congress!!!
But the Liberal Dems failed! American scored another victory there too, so I guess it's another point for the American people!!!

Great, the drilling ban dies. Whoopee. I wonder if you'll still be acting like a five year old when you still can't afford that oil or gas because the market has gone down the tubes. You know, the bigger picture concern than freaking drilling right now.

Drilling will not lower the price of gas in the here and now. Do some of you just buy into whatever you hear without once checking whether or not its true first?

The thing is it will take 20+ years to get all of the altenative energy working. If we dont drill oil now the arabs will kill us out befor we can change over.
If we drill today we may not be paying $10 a gallon befor we can change over but if we dont the price of gas may kill us.
Some of you libs just do not live in the real world it takes time to change over and we will have to use what we have till then.
