McCain has accepted public financing for his campaign. Since he has suspended it, shouldn't he refund the public? I figure he should pro-rate his campaign expeditures for the week or so that he'll be working so hard on the bailout package and actually earning his Senate salary.

You might be on to something! I think he should tell the Secret Service protecting him to go home until he is running again too.
