I don't think they believe it for a minute.....it is the shrill stacatto of dispair.....they know they are backing a loser....and can tell the difference between the third choice of their party against the real deal.

McCain's just another politician who talks about sportsmanship but doesn't personally believe in it. Maybe after the election Johnny Boy and Bill Clinton can go out for a beer and gripe about how they wuz robbed.

Well, it does bother me when one doesn't look another in the eye especially in this capacity. I must admit though it's difficult if one doesn't like another person. To answer your question, I guess it does reflect poorly on McCain.

I must say that having Clinton in one of his campaign ads is pretty sad that he had to resort to that sorry excuse for a man to make a point.

The Scots have an expression that seems to fit McCain

"He's a big man but a wee coat fits him." It is on a par with GWB being "all hat and no cattle."

In my view a leader should posses grace, class, dignity, humility and the ability to rally people for a common cause. I don't see, nor have I witnessed anything close to any of these qualities with McCain. I've only seen it in Obama.

All I hear all from McCain's/Palin's followers are childish buzz words used only scare Americans away from Obama (ie. terrorist, Muslim, elitists, Marxist, Socialist, Hussein) yet actually have nothing really good to say about either of their own candidates. Perhaps it's time to admit that McCain/Palin just don't possess any traits that shout dignified, respectable leader. I personally haven't seen it yet with these two anyway..
