See, just as predicted, A bunch of emotional one-liners. Worthless responses people!
LOL you have NOTHING to back up what you are saying...NO SOURCES just what some McCain supporter told you LOL this thread is a joke. Look at the polls and the national trends.

Hardly emotional. You stated in your premise that the reason the DOW rallied was because of a McCain speech. You offered no evidence of this other than the opinion of your broker, nor do those brokers on Wall Street seem to concur with your theory. You are suggesting something as fact that is in all actuality at best conjecture and theory in the face of a large consensus to the contrary.
If anything it gives the appearance that your emotions are what prompted the assertions in the opening post. The fact that others also used emotionally driven response is rather moot in my opinion.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that CarolinaCowboy doesn't really have a broker. The 401K administrator in your company's HR department doesn't count.

Now I'm convinced you are a troll. People responded to this thread with actual market based facts that had nothing to do with either candidate position in the polls, yet you dismiss them as 'emotional one liners'.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it had nothing to do with John McCain.
When you look at this in terms of valuation, volatility and investor sentiment, everything portends that a bottom has been reached or is near," said Matt King, chief investment officer at Bell Investment Advisors. "However, before anything more substantial can happen, we need to see that volatility washed out." CNNMoney.com Market Report - Oct. 28, 2008
I spoke to my F/A.. he has my portfolio tied to a Goldman Sachs group of funds.. and he echoed the sentiment above.. the possibility of the bottom being near for today's rise. Another factor is possibility of interest rate cuts in the US, and rate cuts overseas in global markets. My portfolio is still down, the overall market is still down over what it was a year ago.
What are you gonna say when it crashes again this week.. John McCain?
Please do your research before you put your unique twist on an event, do not base it on heresay.

Yes but when it's all done and over with the SC will probably need to throw out all the illegal crap complements of ACORN. No way an anti American socialist will retain the presidency even if he did win it in appearance but after further review FRAUD.
