(This is an historic event for all humanity. Already, the masses are moving towards what seems to them to be the realization of an impossible dream. . . . This is a seismic shift of timeless magnitude. This victory goes far beyond that of a simple election, it's the beginning of a era--The Obamicene. Nothing will change in appearance, because it's the victory of hope.)

Ah, yes. French prose is always so sweeping and poetic isn't it? The thoughts from the french are much appreciated though
Something is beginning to be reborn, something called "Hope." Not only for the Americans, who have at last awakened, but for the whole world. The task will be difficult after 8 years of disaster on all levels, but everything is possible if the dream is not broken as it was 45 years ago. Certainly, one of the most beautiful pages of History is beginning to write itself.
And we really care what the um....er..."french" think?
If we want them as allies, which they really aren't right now, you better damn well care what they think.
