It is definitly an intersting piece and I think that the writer is correct in that the GOP needs to focus more on creating a new generation of leaders and attracting young voters. I do not think it will be that easy though. During this election I have heard GOPers describe young voters as "Brainwashed", "Stupid", "Ignorant", "Lazy", "Drunkereds", "Blindly idealistic", "Unpatriotic" and "Unworthy of the Right to Vote." I would say Republicans have a long way to go to get back to when they were winning young voters as they did in the Reagan years. It is definitly possible for the GOP to have a strong under 40 movement, but I think the GOP needs to change its rhetoric about young voters and focus more on what they will bring to the table for the 20s and 30s somethings to get a real piece of the vote there.
Yes, move the GOP even more to the right and decend further into irrelevance.
By golly, I think your right...I think that's why the GOP lost...they moved too far to the left and had too many faux Republicans in the mix! I think they need to move back to the right so as NOT to decend into further irrelevance!
Just the thought of conservatives trying to rally the Republican party is so funny that I can't stop laughing!!!
I mean - really - where are you going to get enough bone-heads to possibly buy into the Republican platform??? Most Americans wouldn't trust a Republican to clean their toilets - let alone run the country ever again!!

I agree, it would be funny to watch the rallies though. Interesting how people cling to their false ideologies. Reminds me of that documentary "Jesus Camp". The Republican party is going to be a pretty hard sell to this generation of voters and probably the next.

For starters, a MEANINGFUL JOB might help these young voters. They can't bring much to the table if they ain't got nothin' in their pockets.
