Wow, meson, you are a deep thinker. What makes someone not a wingnut? Someone who idolizes a community organizer with a reperational bent? Someone who is a vegetarian tree hugger on meth?

Health insurance should be a choice. Barack wants to insure people with pre-existing conditions. Insurance developed on the premise of risk. You pay into it just in case something bad happens.

If Obama pushes this plan through ... he will be encouraging bad health choices. Because no one will be able to be turned away.

I might be conscious of my health. Eat right and exercise. And not need a hell of a lot of health care.

Yet I will be stuck paying into an unsustainable social program where people who have made bad choices in life are provided ( free to them ) national health care.

A homosexual with canker sores on his lips and AIDS does not deserve my tax money. Let him get insurance on his own.

There is no such thing as entitlement ... just because Democrats say so.

Bad behavior invokes self induced negative results. Live with it.

We watch one guy and his cronies destroy America for 8 years and we got rid of them all. In 4 years, if Obama and his fellow democrats are doing the same, we will get rid of him too.

Are you wealthy? Are you uninsured? If you answer no, then healthcare is already being "dictated" by your employer and the insurance carrier.

It seems everytime someone's in power with a different ideology than our own, we think they are destroying America.

I'm just curious what actions you believe would not destroy America.

So true. To some, "change" means "destroy." Both extremes play this little game of semantics.

Speaking for myself, I don't believe America can be destroyed overnight. If WWII didn't destroy us, I'm not worried about Obama.

Well...since you mentioned Hitler, who was fascist...

Hitler imprisoned socialists and communists. Also, considering that every fascist regime has protected private property and supported corporate profiteering, it's more than a bit contradictory to claim someone can be socialist and fascist at the same time.

I'm tired of waiting for the other party to come up with solutions to the mess we are in. The GOP was always fiscally responsible until Bush 43 tossed our money away. When he wrote up the Medicare coverage extension in his last year, he did not find the money for it and the House and Senate simply put it into law without a thought. This has been what Obama says he will not do but he gave away the store to the banks and Mortgage companies and the auto industry.

Neither man in either party has a clue how to bring our economy even close to what it was. The Dow Jones numbers are not what rules our jobs. Take a look at what common articles of food products cost in 1999 and compare them today. My food products cost 4 times what they cost prior to this time period and my air conditioning electric bills have gone from $150 a month (July) to $260 last month alone. My homeowners insurance has gone 15% and I never made a claim.

We cannot afford federal health insurance but we can put together a health plan for people who are left out of the system. I expect alternative systems from the Republicans but they have chosen to sit on their hands and do nothing. Now is the time to form a third party based on the lack of information coming from our government. Why put the house and senate back in when they do nothing?

Throw the bastards out! My only hope to solve much of this mess is Ron Paul. Ross Perot would have had this crap cleaned up in his first 6 months. The men don't look like Hollywood casting director's image of a President!

I agree.

I will say this. Congress is a big part of the problem. We can get many of those bastards out in 2010. Could you really re-elect someone who puts the lives of minnows in Mendota, CA above the lives of 80,000 people.

Re-elect Barney Frank? You've got to be kidding.

And Obama? Regardless of which side of the political ideological fence I am on, with his out of control spending, business stifling policies, redistributional tendencies and socialistic bent, Obama IS destroying America.

The man is an elitist idiot.

Get involved and stop this B.S.
