Brown has stronger support among men than women, so I think that waters down your theory.
Good looks certainly help, and his attractive daughters don't hurt either. But Brown has caught on due to the issues and Coakley's apparent presumption that she was owed the seat by virtue of her party affiliation and gender, without having to work for it.
No. imo, men are more rational and tend to vote for the better candidate whereas women are more emotional and might vote for the guy just b/c they picture him as "husband material".
I saw parts of the debate and I must say that he was articulate, but also wonder if voters would be paying attention to him if he was more plainer looking. I just read a poll that said that gap among mass. women is only 5 points (50-45) as an example of this.
Are you saying the people of Massachusetts are shallow unlike the people of NJ or just the women?

He is good looking, no denying that, but how many are voting for him because of his looks, I would guess not many...

Boy don't give us too much credit??? So we don't have brains, I guess that would be a good reason not to vote for Martha, women in your estimation are emotional figures with nothing upstairs...
